Came here for the stevie T but totally ended up subscribing and liking right after you laid down the drum track. At first I was thinking good grief those drum changes are ridiculous and no way can you make this work.... I was wrong. Lol. You totally opened my eyes to a new way of thinking about how to arrange songs. Up until now everything ive done has been so rhythmically stagnant compared to this way of songwriting. You absolutely killed it mate. Metal as ffffffuuuuuuuucccccckkkkkkk.

Consider that there is ONE key with NO Sharps nor Flats: The Key of C There are 7 Flats: Bb, Eb, Ab, Db, Gb, Cb, Fb creating the Major Keys of F, Bb, Eb, Ab, Db, Gb and Cb. That brings the Total so far to 8. There are 7 Sharps: F#, C#, G#, D#, A#, E#, and B# which give us the Major Keys of: G, D, A, E, B, F#, and C#. Our Total is now 15. Each Major Key (the Ionian Mode) has a relative minor (the Aeolian Mode), so we need to double the Total, giving us 30 Keys.

It's wonderful how being restricted makes you more creative and open to experiment. Because you have to sound right with all the constraints that yourself set. All my f$%&ng life I've been paralyzed with how to start and make a song. I have very good ideas, but always get caught in the argument of what is right and what is wrong. Thanks for the inspiration

Music is a language of the God, it's our souls expression of our individual experience. We all vibrate on different frequencies therefore we all experience something different in those frequencies. Everything we see hear smell taste and touch is a vibration. Vibration can take us to the deepest pits of "hell" or the highest peaks of " heaven" . Music is life/ life is music, see how that works? Awesome😍

11:05 man! Exactly what i wonder when writing music. I'm a drummer, and when deciding what would sound good on a certian part of the song i just go on feel. And when i'm trying stuff out in the process i'll eventually hit something that just clicks and then i stick to that. But then indeed how it works in our brain to decide what works and what doesn't is something almost magical. I can't think of an explanation.

Nice video as always! But I do feel like you could've done better with the song. I felt that on the intro it was way too busy when you added a lead guitar part, and maybe you could have added space in between the intro and the verse to have something to string the two parts together. The outro also came out of left field to me. Otherwise, amazing stuff!

I'm trying to figure out how much you offended my drummer sensibilities...I guess it doesn't matter...the end justifies the means...I found the computer randomness boring, but it still sounds great! Stevie T is the most innovative and talented KZbin guitarist today, so thanks for the collab, and you're always in my feed and obviously know what you're doing...don't you KZbin guys want to play with real drummers? What has music become?
@treyxaviermusic
@treyxaviermusic 6 жыл бұрын
Well, this is just about songwriting. When it comes to full-on, real-ass production, real drums are where it's at. Many of my gear demo songs have real drums, but it's also 10x the pain in the ass, and having the means to do it is very difficult in comparison to programming drums. We do it when we can, but for me, done is better than perfect. I wouldn't look at music as a whole through the KZbin lens, we KZbinrs have particular needs when it comes to making music and most of the time real drums are just not in the cards.
