You three have to remember that he wasn't writing this for an album. This was a fun, creative, and informative thing he threw together in a very small amount of time. If he was actually writing a song, that was meant to be sold, played in a band and preformed for others as something 'permanent', then he would have hit this as a try-hard. Again, it's not meant for anything else but this video. I think it was pretty bad ass. He also literally didn't get to decide how this was going to sound. The RNG gods of the dice did.

Yeah I'm not really a fan of this dude's content. The guitars are scratchy and don't really blend. They sit "up" too much compared to the drums. The entire mix also falls short to meet Courtney's stellar vocals (which are of course a bit more heavily limited and "full" sounding). In a dense and heavily-limited Spiritbox track, they'd fit right in. But his backing track left too much dynamic range for that to work. He might had just been limited by the stems he was given though. Courtney's an absolute killer so she or her husband may have pre-mixed the vocals with all of the compression and delay that she wanted and then sent that. All I know is that I would have serious reservations about attempting a track with a vocalist as refined as that. A for effort though.

Oh damn, this actually slaps pretty good! When you put all those parts together, added the guitar and bass I really wondered how the vocals could fit in... and oh yes, Courtney came in and killed that. Courtney is such a beast, her vocals are unmatched. That was awesome!
