Yes same here, annoying thing is I still don’t want to loose the inspiration of creating another series or the initial idea but alas, one has to prioritise.
@Rekter
@Rekter 3 жыл бұрын
@@robyn2124 Agreed. I’ve been having a ton of other story concepts popping up in my head recently so I’ve written them all down and just shoved them to the side so whenever I finish my main story, I could maybe go back to it one day. It gets tempting but learning to prioritize like you mentioned has helped me tremendously.

I really love these kind of one-to-one sit-down videos cuz it opens my eyes to the reality of something of that I want to do and for future as both an animator and and writer. I would really appreciate more videos regarding your work and what you do and how you improve yourself and pace your work as well

Man i respect your decisions but i think focusing to one series and combining them all produce more better quality and relieve stress so that increases productivity and eliminate the distraction instead of focusing on how much can you accomplish, focus on how can make reader absolutely love it 😀

Thanks for this video! I admire how you can work on a lot of series at once, I try to do a similar thing but as an artist/writer I find it hard to crank out a lot of work since I have to balance commissions with it and this has often lead to burnout for me. For this reason I focus on doing one longer webtoon and one shots for contests for now, I hope that one day I can get published and making a living off my manga too. Thanks for the motivation!

brandon chen, i believe in you and all but if your staying up beyond 10:00 pm due to manga burnout working tirelessly day by day, heres what i have to say, work at your own pace, know your limit in the day, i guarrantee you your awesome and all but staying healthy, eating healthy, sleeping and working out is a second brother to drawing, its like health on a silver plater, that said its cool to love drawing but dont wear yourself out nights like i did.

I've always wanted to ask do your stories follow a story structure like 3 act structure or Kishotenketsu? I saw a short you posted where you showed the book Manga in Theory and Practice. In that book, Araki talks about Kishotenketsu. Do you use it? Thank you so much for everything you post. You're an inspiration to me.

I'm not a writer, but I've had a lot of ideas for stories. My problem is that after a couple hours I'm already thinking of another story.

I'd say to focus on fleshing out your characters. Once you've made your characters enjoyable enough, you (as the writer) will have no choice to become a fan of one of your own characters, which will motivate you to continue their story. However, being a fan of your own character does not mean giving them an easy route to follow and you need to remember that.

Statement : focus on expanding the world building and lore and you will stop jump into another story. Amazing idea is just an idea, you're not the only who thought about that "idea". The question is who is able to make the idea become reality and interesting story. You lack world building and lore to the story and that is the main reason you keep changing shit. Stick to one story and try to expand the lore, if you try and failed to make it interesting a lot of times, perhaps its time to jump to another story.

Then instead of writing long one piece type stories, write shorter 'bit-novels' it will allow you to conclude one thought, and dive into another thought, plus this way ur writing style becomes more versatile and u learn more tho it can be kinda tedious(but tip: short stories usually don't require you to delve too deep into character or worldbuilding so u don't need to repeat processes each time:) hope this is kinda useful

Question how do you get started in the business like for example you write and finish a story where do you publish it and how do you get people to read it or know about it? Also as an author once a series is already know and is currently publishing do you have to come up with ideas every to keep the story going or do you already have an ending planed since the beginning?

Rather than a reboot, more like bleach TYBW arc with extra story being added cause the final arc is rushed even tho it has over 200 chapter.
