John Truby is the GOAT! I've read and studied 5 top selling story coaches and Truby is my bible for learning story telling. The amount of skull sweat and insight he put into defining what makes a story great - and teaching writers how to do this without being formulaic is incredible. I'm am so thrilled about this new book - and the timing makes me wonder if I'm carrying a horseshoe in an uncomfortable place!

Thank you, Joanna & John. That was brilliant. As a sci-fi author it was extremely helpful. I'm going to buy John's book now!

I am definitely taking notes. I am working on military science fantasy, and I have one faction that magic works like technology. A arcane punk style, has fantasy tropes but reads like science fiction.

Very annoying and disappointing that there’s 22 minutes of preamble before getting the the featured guest. Either do a chapter marker so we can jump forward or save the rest of the non-John Truby related info for the end.

If you look beneath the video, I always include a timestamp where the interview starts. I've been podcasting since 2009 and always have an introduction.

This is a very long intro nonetheless. The timestamp has to be properly put in the decription, otherwise, it will not show on the video. @@thecreativepenn
