We all try and explain to customers why it’s a good idea to get your boiler serviced yearly, great example this, a £30 part replaced when it was first leaking would have prevented an early demise for the boiler.

I actually think this was from the aav weeping over a long time and then the heat causing condensation has just rusted the boiler through, but just a hunch, could be multiple issues

that's very plausible bro, yeah, seen it on a BAXI once but that was the flue incorrectly installed and pulling POC back inside the casing, was rusted like all get out, a relatively new boiler as well @@snapgas9832
