She sounds like some one that has not been home to Louisiana in decades. I like it. Slower and less drawl for people whom don't speak can actually understand without such a struggle but still get a bit of cajun, that's one smart narrator. I like her

More moaning about the narrator, who I believe is doing a great job. As stated below she is making the cajun accent understandable, also she chages her voice for serveral characters both male and female throughout the books so well done Sophie. And yes Toni has issues, she lklled someone that she thought she loved and loved her who turned out to be a controlling and abusive partner and went to prison for it, so has issues around trust., so would you. There is just no pleasing some people. Come on people you are listening for free and it is not AI. I have just found this author and am enjoying her books.

I liked the story line. Didn't like the way Toni spoke. She had issues and was very unhealthy. I hated the way Ozzy talked and it took away his character.

Same. They made him sound like an 80 year old chain smoker instead of the relatively young man he is in the book.

You’re making Cajun people sound like they have a severe speech impediment. I grew up in Louisiana and have never heard an accent done so badly. Also, for everyone saying “She made it understandable”.. Have you seen princess and the frog?! They do a pretty good job of a southern/cajun accent without making us sound as dumb as a rock! And it’s 100% understandable. It’s bad. Period.

This one is just okay. Not quite the same as the other 2. The accents in this one don't set right with me, but that's just my opinion. It's been a lot harder for me to listen to this one vs the first two.🤷‍♀️

Didn't like Ozzie's voice. Took away from the depiction of his looks. Didn't like Toni' accent/voice. She had a lot of issues and sounded ignorant. The story was interesting which made me endure her voice, foolishness. Loved the ending and like the series bringing the other characters from the other stories.

I hate the accents.. almost too cringe to continue. - I got used to Toni's accent, the only one I couldn't stand was Ozzy's in the end... the story line is great though.
