Welsh spelling looks difficult but the language sounds beautiful. I hope it continues to thrive far into the future.

The spelling may look difficult but it's a phonetic language so it's easier than English if you were to learn it as a second language. (I am Welsh but I can't speak it however since it's phonetic I can read it to some extent, no clue what it says tho.) ((I plan to learn))

Sure! The other top comment says "This song conveys exactly what is in my heart. To Battle!" Would you like me to translate any more?

2. One vilage, Bözödújfalú was drowned in 1985 in the water of a brook, to make a reservoir for a town. Now all the vilage is a lake and only the towers of the two churches are sticking out from the middle of the reservoir-lake. Like in Wales in Transylvania too the foreign power made this to destroy the culture and language of the native people of the place they conquered... And this policy of ethnic cleansing continues even today with different methods.

Saesneg A Chymraeg ydw i. I was ashamed of what was done by the English to Ireland, and Wales. I live the other side of the pond and I was disappointed that Wales voted for Brexit. I would love to see A Celtic Nation (Wales, Ireland and Scotland) join the EU. We need a three nation referendum (including Ulster) to establish this. The EU did a good job for South Wales.

1. Oh damn, I wrote before with my alter ego, that I created to upload my games :). Thank you for this great patriotic music. About Tryweryn: I am amazed how our histories resemble. in the 70's and 80's the Romanian dictator Ceausescu destroyed many Hungarian villages from Transylvania in order to wipe out the native Hungarians from the province. He dispersed the population of the villages in town with Romanian population to assimiliate the Hungarians in this way.

It would be great if all the profits from mining in Wales over the centuries had been carefully invested and kept to help provide a safety net for times when there was less work and times were hard. But I suppose we could all think of an infinite number of what ifs when it comes to history.

@robsargent411 жыл бұрын
Yes, think of all the money made from exporting coal and copper not only to England, but at times Ireland. Where are all those profits now? I realise British mining in general has been on the decline for some time, but the greed and short-sightedness of it all is astounding.

All the sweat, labor, and millions of lives lost to mining, all for who, our own damn enemy, it never even benofited us in any way, and they work us still and what do we get from it, bread crums. This question goes out to all other welsh people as well.. Was it a great or little thing we lost, does freedom mean nothing to you? We arn't even on our own flag (union jack), but England is, Scotland is, ands they are even getting ready to leave. Ireland is free and so should we! Cymru am byth

I know, I live here. North Wales coast,now totally colonised and like england in many parts...a land of chip papers and dog muck with a good helping of druggies and career benefit claimants from Manchester etc. Labour in the assembly are pushing through a plan to build 20,000 houses in North Wales to facilitate massive migration from cheshire and merseyside. Plaid oppose it but labours seen what Scotland are doing and want english votes to stop us winning a referendum -if we ever get One.
