For everyone saying "210hp is nothing at that weight" it does 0-60 in 5.3s stock, which is pretty damn good. throw on an STi intercooler, up-pipe, aftermarket downpipe, and a VF39 you're making almost STi power in an SUV for as little as $1500

we seem to have this term sleeper confused. The rims,drop,stickers paint a different story. If it had zero aperance mods with say 500hp under the hood with a hidden front mount intercooler.. yes then it would be sleeper. but just stock exaust isnt enough, it screams mods just looking at it.

+Bill McC spot on, agree 100%. When I first watched the video I thought no way is this a sleeper with all those decals and the drop with rims. Not saying it doesn't look good, but it's the last thing you want for a sleeper. Actually, I thought it was ironic to see all the cosmetic mods, only to find out it has 210hp (stock?!). I think the only sleeper part about this car is the color. But aside from that, as a fellow FXT owner myself (SG9) it's nice to see some love for the Subaru FXT.

For those wondering/doubting the "WRX killer" part, when this car came out it had a faster 0-60 and quarter mile than the wrx of the time. When put on a dyno, people were finding that the Forester actually made more power than the WRX's as well. In the end, most people agree that the XT's were underrated for power and actually made around 235-245 hp, which is 10-20 more than the wrx.

My one is black all over except the (gold) wheels but I'm thinking of getting them re-sprayed ...black :-) Mine has been slightly modified: Toyosports downpipe, STI intercooler, bigger hood scoop and Pedder's suspension, plus the blowoff valve seems quite loud. On the outside it looks decidedly workaday and is even slightly tatty - couple of small dings and scratches, and more often than not, I have gardening equipment in the back including a mower. I love the fact that I can purr quietly around the neighbourhood, sneak past the cops without a second glance but when I decide to hit the gas .....oh boy :-)

best sleeper right now and im excluding jeep srt8 cuz its no sleeper at all, is the ford ecoboost suvs and crossovers man those things make serious power when modded. the forrester is cool but i like my sleepers to look as stock as possible, i once got beat by a 92 ford pickup it wasnt lowered or nothing the only thing that gave it away was the nittos in the back wheels, i asked the guy what he has he said a 327ci stroker from a 5.0 block with a single 76mm turbo it was his daily driver

i took my 2008 Forrester to Mojave Magnum and went 160.9 in the 1-1/2 miles. Image 188 cubic inches Turbo charged 5 speed weighing 3450 lbs going that fast! Will it will and it doesn't take too much money or work to accomplish it.
