I agree with Victor. This plain and simply video taught me so much more than the high terminology jargon used in my course, which is almost impossible to understand when reading and decoding the information without looking at what these sophisticated words mean.

I loved the video.... just a little note: in the video there's a reference to positive reinforcement and negative punishment, which should really be positive reinforcement, negative reinforcement and punishment. Great video!!

'Programming' will only get you a future individual whose emotions are so repressed and denied that they end up snapping and commit acts of violence.... or just become serial killers....rapists, etc... 'Programming' is an excellent way to keep a human packed full of DENIAL, of everything! As well as just continuing the 'state of things' we all currently exist in. Does the state of the world seem balanced? What WE have to learn in order to TEACH others and children is that EMOTIONS/FEELINGS are extremely important in over all health and be able to work with and handle their emotions in a safe way in a safe place. They need the techniques, the understanding of what emotions/feelings represent, are symptoms of, etc....as well as the tools to be able to work with them in a safe way. Wow, it's amazing that pushing this agenda has become so blatant. But then, alot of people are 'programmed', so.....makes sense.

I am a firm believer in behavior modification. It worked for us. Coddling didn't work.

Every breathing human being has been subject to behavior modification. It's important to realize this and be mindful when educating your own.

Wasn't John Watson driven out of academia by using this reward and punishment method?

She is using outdated terminology. Behavior Modification just used reinforcement and punishment to change behavior. The name changed in 1997 to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) which is the application of operant conditioning; operant conditioning uses the ABC model - antecedent, behavior, consequence to understand and change behavior. The goal of ABA is not only changing behavior but also figuring out what causes behavior and teaches replacement ones. This is supported throughout various behavior analytic journals.

I have a 20y old, that acts like Hes 13... When I got sick, it was hard to discipline him. As a single mother it was hard... I regret not enforcing rules.. Is it too late?

It's still a struggle, now he acts like he's about 16yo.. kind of entitled, thinks He kinda makes the rules, instead of appreciating, he expects it! And now we're going through something that's really Hard.. My Grandma (His Great-Grandma) is having health problems, needs 24.7 care, can't live with us anymore, pacemaker, heart,etc.. 😢 and it's really affecting myself, and my son! But he holds Everything in, depressed, scared, anxiety, etc... So now it's harder than ever!! Prayers are welcome 🙏... tear 😢

Its not like you can get a pill and just behave better. Damn you bastards And as a bonus, you cant expect your child to be a mindless zombie obeying you. If your child doesnt listen to you, then something is wrong with you not them.

Why in the world is popping bubble wrap better than sticking your tougue out?

Its not a matter of being better or worst... She is trying to MODIFY the behavior... Change the "not acceptable" behavior to something more acceptable like popping bubble wraps... instead of being disrespectful.

Looking for cause of bad behavior in children by asking them why they are behaving badly gives them power and validation. It is of course okay in some circumstances, but It ends up being reinforcement for the bad behavior and gives authority to be child. It is the parent(s) that are the authority. Children innately want and need that authority and discipline (quiet chair, no dessert, no tv). Without discipline a child will not feel secure. I'm not a professional. Just a parent of three who turned out great. Polite, respectful and self disciplined. Now they are raising their own. In hindsight, my wife and I ran a tight ship.

Whichever soul chooses to incarnate, he/she is/will be a direct energetic fit/reflection, to the DENIALS the parents subconsciously hold within them. The child also comes in with their own set of denials. Children will always reflect what the parents have failed to heal within themselves. This is why the 'state of the world' continues to get worse. Denial. For example: if a parent has a child that they have emotions of hate for, but feel it would be cruel for them to express this to their child because they feel it would be wrong or damaging, they choose to repress those emotions, pushing them further and further into that hole of denial, which is denial of one's own essence, one's own validity of of their own emotions. If it is continually denied throughout lifetimes, the parent will keep attracting the reflection to an ever heightening degree of their own denial, a soul who is an exact energetic match to that vibration, until those emotions are given acknowledgement and acceptance, in order to allow those emotions expression, movement, vibration. Once vibration occurs, understanding is then able to have a space to be present within the being so they know why they experienced that hatred to begin with. Same with the children, the mate, friends, and enemies. Much comes down to the vibration. We are made of energy. *Sorry- I'm bad with run-ons.*
