The amount of Wrestling talent that has come from the Minneapolis area is insane. That class Scott is talking about had Rick Rude, Mr Perfect, Road Warrior Hawk, Demolition Smash, Tom Zenk, John Nord (the Berserker) and Nikita Koloff. Scott would come a couple years later. Before that Ric Flair, Larry the Axe, Ole Anderson, Jesse Ventura, and Vern Gagne. Later you would also have X-Pac, Molly Holly Brock Lesnar, Jerry Lynn, Chad Gable, and Erik Rowan. Even in the auxiliary roles, Jeremy Borash, Mean Gene and Paul Ellering all from the Minneapolis area. And our newest recruit, Julia Hart from about an hour north of Minneapolis.

Its not out of the question. Robbinsdale school district (which is where scott is talking about) is made up of a bunch of small suburbs and pieces of large suburbs north of Minneapolis. At the time smaller, suburban districts generally went elementary as kindergarten through 8th grade and then a seperate high school. Meanwhile depending on the school curriculum at the time they could have easily split the boys and girls up for P.E. class having grades 5-8 attend together. They also often put schools next to each other to cut busing costs as everyone from K-12 could be brought to the same place. Thats not to say Scott isnt lying and i do find it difficult to believe a 7th grader is gonna suddenly feel better about not getting beat up because he has a 9 year old getting his back, but when that 9 yrar old is Scott and the other guy is Rick and its the insanity if the Minneapolis area, one never knows.
