SWFL Eagles_ Later Arrival For M & F Then Right To Work On Nest 10.19.23

M15 & F23 arrived later than usual this am - 8:15am. But they made up for the time away with M15 adding 5 sticks and 1 bunch of grasses & F23 adding 2 sticks and moss bundles. F23 ended up 'hanging' with one of the sticks she tried breaking from a front pine but corrected and went on to find a suitable replacement. They both worked on placing and rearranging sticks and materials with a few discussions in between. F23 left first shortly after 9:00am, flying NW. M15 remained watchful of his territory in the nest tree and front drive snag. The nest continues to grow with M & F's preparations.

I love hearing your "Ga'morning!" and calming voice with love in it for all nature. Beautiful Am. Kestrel shot! Probably not the territory they want to be found in by the owners! The owners have really done a super job! Impressive! At the beginning, the nest was at a bad angle and collapsing. M must have his level out! He's a good teacher, too! She's really come a long way. Oooh, she just really asserted herself! Mr Large and In Charge from last season is going to need a few of those, likely. Boy, ground vids really show how high the nest is! I always think they've reached it when they turn, but it's another many feet up still. How strong they are! That's why they are the rulers of this fine territory! 😂 ❤️🦅🦅

The nest is growing in leaps and bounds! Love seeing M choosing sticks, delivering them and placing them! At the 13 minute mark, ther are 3 Killdeer walking behind M. They pay him no mind and go on with their business! At the 19 minute mark, we can her them calling "killdeer" ❤

I thought they were scarecrows, since looked turquoise and not moving, although never saw scarecrows before there, just birds. But gone at the next shot at 32:37. Must have been the morning light, then. Big birds, though. Don't they have eagle neighbors over there now? M used to perch there with one of his old gf, I think.

Been watching and listening to you for about 8 years now Vicki! I love your narrations… and actually learned a lot from you in that time! I was wondering what that cute little bird was and you said it was a kestrel! Learned something new again! WOW! 23 is just amazing with her reverse aerodynamic style isn’t she!?
