Here's the thing about cadaver dogs: it's unlikely it was a fluke that both dogs caught scent of SOMETHING. BUT it's not just human remains and blood ipso facto because they did. Weather and rain can throw off scents for these dogs, they can make mistakes too. And the cops are gonna test what they find for human remains regardless of what was in the hole because of procedure. We won't know much til tests come back, even if the neighbors had their own livestream.

But they have to test to be careful because a) there is a lot of social media coverage and it would be a nightmare if some lady on tiktok uncovered a body and not cops (not to mention risk of disturbing the scene); and b) because that's just thorough cop work.

Cadaver dogs dont sit anywhere they r trained.When a dog detects the scent of human remains, they are trained to indicate the find. Sitting or lying down near the source is one common behavior. Other dogs may use a passive indication, such as standing still and focusing on a particular spot, or alerting their handler in a different way (like barking or pawing).

Electrical malfunction or surge would explain the electronics as for stuff being moved it could have been the kids or husband and as for the rug honestly I looked up online it could be put there as a weed preventer or it could have been placed there by someone who didn't want to pay fees at the dump so they just buried it and the dogs could have hit on the rug because I am sure the rug was heavily used before being buried so it would most likely have human scent pee blood ect because carpets are very hard to maintain and keep clean and the fibers of the carpet not only hold scents but debris from shoes as well for all we know the ppl who lived there before could have worked at a hospital or biohazard place or maybe they had a lot of pets and some died on that carpet or had accidents it could be a million things honestly but the probability of it being linked to a crime is low but it is also a possibility
