So good to see this video. I've wondered about it as upon seeing them on my team when we have a bomber spammed team i've dismissed it, only to see them decimate about 2-3 fighters. Tho most do use them as ground attackers.

@5:00 Used to be you could get good returns for ground attack, then when everybody spammed the He219 they nerfed the 30mm and cut ground strike rewards into pieces. Sad for people like myself who love ground strike.

Napalm. The reason evryone is groundpounding is because they are researching with it. Theyr just trying to spade it and get theyr jets. And groundpounding brings more points

Yeah it's easier but it doesn't help you to win games. And winning give a good bonus to RP and SL. The main advantage is that it's simpler and even if you lose (for whatever reasons) you gain something. Plus you die quickly so you can leave the match and find a new game quickly (less time wasted finding guys in space etc). Fighting planes is more rewarding but really situational.

Oh I was so looking forward to this! Well done man! I agree though, dont try this at home. I did with the AD2 and jus wasnt able to do anything. Though like you may have mentioned, getting the 20mm guns is so crucial because it sprays bad otherwise. So, will wait and see. It will be quite a while before I get to this thing. Cheers!

No one in the right mind would use Skyraider for fighter... Sent me and my friend to the mental hospital then. :v All of the SBD line (SBD, BTD, AD-2) were used as fighters by me and my squad mate. Those Douglas are really good at shooting people down. The SBD and AD-2 are really hold their own place against fighter in their BR bracket (BTD suffer from its heavy weight and compression)

BTD-1 has a strange high speed handling - it is far from the capabilities of the AD-2 or AD-4 ^^

Same with tanks. I'm always getting destroyed by better French, Italian, and even Japanese Sherman'. Britain has a better one, but don't face them. America has the old Sherman at 4.7. The other nations have the newer model at 4.7, with a better cannon.

even still at 4:10 you get 3 fighters to lose a lot of alt. Not sure why so many people do this, if you have one teammate diving and losing a lot of alt for 1 plane dont join him, i always get like 3 on my ass when i take out an arado

no, this FM is very similar to the AD-2 Skyraider which is in the game for quite some time :) It is not broken, it is just good against german fighters with broken FM

Yeah, great, incredible. We almost all know that shooting down planes is more rewarding, but I still don't want to play an attacker plane in a 100% fighter role. Why ? Just because it was historically an attacker. If the game isn't rewarding attackers enough in air RB, if strafing ground units doesn't help my team (even though armored ground targets are helping with the tickets, just saying..), I don't really care. I'm not gonna change something historical into a stupid looking flying circus just because air RB is stuck into a short deathmatch kind of gameplay. The problem comes from the game, not from the players. The enduring confrontation gamemode is waaaaay better in that regard, and that's mainly why I'm playing sim so much.

Yep that's how I use my AD-2 as well. I attack ground targets because not only is it fun, but can be a fun/challenging attack as well. With 12 HVAR rockets, use them to make direct hits across a line of light pillboxes, then when you nail every single one and get a ton of kills its really awesome. Sure I could use it as a fighter, but it ruins the whole point of the attacker role. Plus I have been in many games where a team drops the tickets of the other team by demolishing ground units.

Well you play like you want and tbh the only thing this plane have is it's wing loading (large wings). It's only good again energy fighters because you can outurn most of them but against any good player with just that you will get wrecked ^^ Yeah the problem is that RB is pretty much an arena deathmatch mode which leaves little room for bombers and attackers.

i was waiting for AD-4 for so long (Skyraider is my favourite US plane) and adding it to french tree instead of US was like slap in da face from gayjin. they are scumbags cause they are giving other nations better modifications of US planes than US have it self. just wtf??

Look ,great you can get kills with Skyraiders. That just means you are playing against utter shit players. It's not a fighter and not the equal of a K4, Tempest V, D9, N1k, Spitfire Mk 14. If mongs turnfight you and go head on great, if you bump into a real player you are fucked.
