A reminder to not keep talking down on young players. The number of people this year who called Coco's North American swing run last year a fluke was just outrageous. A 20 yr old and ure saying she will never win another big title or is a 250 merchant or is overrated. Look at her now. Another 1000 title last month and now the WTA Finals. Y'all have gone real quiet and are not calling her overrated anymore. Respect her and stop expecting every player to figure everything out at an early age. That's why there is time to improve and develop. Congrats Coco. Once she fixes her serve and forehand permanently, it's over for the rest of the tour.

Yes they have always commented on how fast she is, saying she is probably the fastest on tour. Seems like her coach is helping with her serve and her forehand. Both these two’s outfits match the color of the court. A final made for them.

Totally understand Qinwen not wanting to make friends on tour because most people don't want to make friends at work, they just want to work. However, you can be pleasant without getting into friendships. Her posture toward the others is a bit odd.

Regardless of who you supporting, having more players competing with each other at the very top level is great for women tennis in general. Now Coco, Zheng, Elena and a few others can somehow challenge the dominance of Iga and Aryna is just makes women tennis more interesting to watch. Well done Coco🎉, The next Aus Open will be such a dynamic and exciting tournament to watch!

This is the great thing about the ladies game at the moment: if you come in with form, there's a good chance of winning and these two were the in-form players. Great final...

Well deserved champion indeed. Coco defeated world no. 1 and 2 and the Olympic gold.

That is a good point, wow! Coco Gauff definitely ended 2024 on a high note. A deserved WTA finals winner, and only at age 20!

Queenwen Zheng played on a very high level, and Gauff managed to surpass her. The Chinese will certainly be number 1 in the world in the near future. 👏👏👏

Number 1 I'm not too sure about but top 3-5 for sure. Sabalenka, Swiatek, and Coco are just on a different level right now, plus you have to imagine that other top players (namely Rybakina, Paolini, and Pegula) aren't going anywhere. Competition looks like it's finally stiffening up at the top of the WTA, but Zheng at the very least is solidifying herself among the elite and is only looking up

Zheng choked and played like trash at the end. she either hit long or into the net on countless shots with no real pressure from Guaff from the 9th game on in the 3rd set, the tiebreak was a complete joke . Guaff went up 6-0 basically on 5 unforced errors from Zheng
