She’s a sore loser. There are a lot of videos showing her unsportsmanlike attitute at the net every time she loses. She doesn’t look her winning rival in the eye during handshakes. Not a good role model for sportsmanship. So, NO, she does not have everything. In fact, she has way far less than the average/ordinary female tennis players who are more gracious when they lose. Her head will get bigger the more successful she gets unless she changes. I am not hating, just stating the facts.

She is a nice girl off court. But on a tennis court, she is only there to win and not make friends . At least she is honest with her goals. The cold exchanges in the net are normal in women tennis . Overall in the court, she is very well behaved and focused. Except for a few times in 4-5 years she snapped at a lines man, Leylah's team, at her fans (but she apologised). Overall, we have a very well behaved tennis star here.

@@YCHTT This is not a right comment here. No one is racist here. Qinwen is a very different person on court. She is not playing tennis to make friends ( in her own words). She is playing tennis to win a Grand Slam since 11 years only. We have to respect this is her approach to the game. But she keeps all the rules and is very well behaved. Off the court and in a non competitive environment, she is a totally different person.

Zheng and Gauff have played twice before..Once as juniors and once as pros! Gauff (14 yrs)defeated Zheng(16 yrs) 6-1, 3-6, 6-4 at the 2018 Girls 18 yrs & under division in the Orange Bowl final in Florida! Their pro match at the 2024 Italian Open Gauff again defeated Zheng 7-6(4), 6-1 to advance to the semifinals! They're both different players now and it should be a fantastic game!

@@juliettemantomena163 Who told me? Let me tell you. First of all, don't take my words out of context. Junior match is nothing when you are rating a pro player. It surely means a lot for juniors. There are many players that are pretty average in the junior tour including Kvitova, Kerber, Sabalenka. You wouldn't think they could win grand slams with their junior tour results. Coco is very talented and she turned pro very early, which means that she was maybe playing at the pro level in the junior tour already. Now that both players are pros, that match is certainly meaningless.

She almost missed the WTA final because she slacked for a season. In fact, she just narrowly beat Navarro to become No 7 because of her wins in China. But she really stepped up her level in this tournament. You have to give credit to her team led by Pere Riba because thier goal was to train her be able to win someone like Sabalenka. There were 2 times when she lost to Sabalenka, Sabalenka went on to win the Grand Slam. I think the team did a good job with her to train her to this level. She is a very much improved player. You can see in her answers, the Sabalenka "struggle" is still there. She is 0-4 against Sabalenka. Against Coco in the finals, she has a better chance.

It is indeed hard to predict. However, she definitely has a better chance against Gauff. Somehow, Saba's style just makes it difficult for Zheng to beat. I do not see why she cannot beat players like Gauff.
@ButterNutt-el4kk15 күн бұрын
She hasn’t been able to beat Gauff simply because she has the Sabalenka problem. Lot of power hitting with no other weapons. You will get tired midway through the match slinging the serves and forehand the way they do. That’s not high tennis IQ. You must have multiple weapons to play different type players. Fortunately for Gauff her athleticism(speed)and backhand and sometimes serve makes her difficult to beat when she’s playing for keeps. Gauff and her new team seem to have figured out how to make her forehand work for her by keeping most balls deep. Even the looping forehead which I hate.
@josephdewuhan15 күн бұрын
@ButterNutt-el4kk Gauff is really good at beating Saba in straight sets. But I still think Zheng has a better chance against her. We'll see the result in less than 12 hours. Zheng is the luckiest one in this situation from the orange group. Previous loss is irrelevant here because Zheng really started to play better very recently. She never won Iga before the Olympics but beat her at her favorite court during the Olympics.
