So in theory they could get a high value for just being very rare to have? Thoughts? There is no such thing as Overfarming the bad press. Bliz needs to be held accountable and their inconsistent behavior well known by the players. The only way to get them to reform and fix things is to report things. This is like saying "Ignore Corruption in Politics and Trying to Get Corrupt Politicians removed, that's boring".

Before you recruit a friend in retail please consider this: ( Why do you need to be Level 30 to use the portal to Silvermoon? ) Try this... 1. Make a Blood Elf and chose Eversong Woods as your Starting area. 2. Immediately head to the capital of Sivermoon to use the Portal to go to Orgrimmar. 3. Arrive in the Orgrimmar portal room. Then turn around and try to go back to Silvermoon. By the way this also happens if you play as Alliance. Or any portal to a starting area. Low level toons can not use portal room portals except to go to the Dragon isles. Before the War Within Launched they could.

i actually lost 1000s of gold on boons during this fiasco, the day before AV released i bought 800 of these boons for 10g each so to sell on the ah since i would be sat there spamming AV for honour but because of this bug and the bugfix blizzard implemented afterwards to try and fix it by setting the boons to 1g these boons are now only worth 800g so a humble loss of 7200g in just a few days, so whilst being probably a beneficial outcome for 99 percent of the server i got severely shafted by blizzards bugged AV launch , lesson learnt to not put all my chronoeggs in one basket.

The difference between them was more than just the price. The SoD boons had a 5m cooldown instead of 1h. That's why they let you exchange them instead of just letting them rot. This is likely the only way to not screw over people who unknowingly bought them from the AH.

......new solution: Make them unable to be posted on the AH and non-tradable. The existing ones, too. Remove the entire economy around them that isn't supposed to exist in vanilla and was created to solve a "problem" that had other solutions. I'd rather all buffs be removed upon entry and have the raids tailored to non-buffed characters than have had this entirely new item created to store buffs, as that would have been a much easier solution to the "problem" of people minmax raid logging. At the end of the day, this "problem" was just part of the game - high risk, high reward - and there never should have been an item created to circumvent it. There is *absolutely* a paper trail of where these items came from and who touched them. How much damage could have been caused in a mere half hour? What about raw gold that was transferred? Was THAT at least taken care of?

Idk from my 2019 classic experience the price of flasks is pretty normal. Lotus were at one point close to 200g on Faerlina Horde around AQ40 patch so seems reasonable when lotus are around 100g on my fresh server

Blizz backtracked on it because it was too difficult to fix without causing more problems. Anyone with booned buffs inside an SoD boon would have to lose their world buffs.

I don't get the problem tbh. The only guys complaining are the guys who "missed" an opportunity to make lots of ingame gold. IT wise, it was a quick (and dirty) workaround. But it works and nobody gets and advantage or disadvantage. That said, the discision to make SoD and Fresh/Era on the same client was a really bad one and they should seperate both from the beginning.

I think YOU are only seeing one side of it, as you are directly impacted by purchasing these on the AH. In this case, Chronoboons were 10g from a vendor, yesterday they were 1.5g each on AH, at one point they went down to 8 fucking silver. You bought these on the AH, KNOWING something fishy was going on, and if you didn't, I blame YOU for the lack of thinking. A 10 gold vendor item, being sold in masses on the Auction House for silvers each. That's like buying an iPhone on eBay for 5$ and crying when you find out it's fake. If you "bought some" on the AH, you should absolutely lose the gold you spent. It was a risk you took, and you knew that. Pretending you didn't know is just bollocks or a severe lack of knowledge. And to your point "No way were thousands purchased by 1 players". First of all, it's "1 player", not players. 1 is not plural. Several guilds purchased LOTS of these. 4x 16 slot bags + regular bag = 80 slots. 80x5 = 400 Chronoboons per bag. 400 Chronoboons PER character being stocked up. A lot of these people have multiple level 60's already (Some top guilds are running 3+ level 60s per person). I had 2 level 60's back in mid December. if I kept playing at the same rate I'd have 4x 60's by now. What these people did were join AV -> purchase boons -> leave BG -> swap characters -> repeat. BG's were open for 30 minutes. One "round" of purchasing boons took about 4 minutes total.

I think Blizzard's communication is really bad but it's actually a decent win overall, but might lead to more people raid-logging because of cheap boons. Sucks for people who spent the gold but overall it actually makes the economy better. People deleted a lot of gold into an NPC and a lot of the wealth was changed around, lots of people who otherwise couldnt have made gold or play casually made gold but it didn't inject or print any.

What you are not considering Solheim, is that say they do render all these boons intert. At that point, what happens to all those who bought these things on the AH? That would mean the initial exploiter reaps all the benefit and you as the consumer just eat it. No matter what they do here, somebody gets rekt. Well I enjoyed WoW back in 2009-2015.. and I can see why people would still be playing the Current WoW War Within.. but those that just keep rerolling a new character every time a new mode comes out is crazy this game isn't that good in my opinion.. I say if your still going to play these New modes then you must just except the problems that come with it.. I don't think any player should be held accountable for this Blizz mistake.. People going to be unhappy with whatever outcome comes about. The initial outcry was "Ban the exploiters! Roll back the server! The Economy is ruined!". Most of the initial purchases of boons were by sniping bots. They clawed back a lot of gold from gold seller bots. This is absolutely the best outcome. This was a Robin Hood event where players spent their gold to claw back cheap chrono boons and flood the market with cheap boons to a point where a company had to lower the cost of boons. This constant blame against the "knowing exploiters", yes they made gold. But today you get to login and buy a 1g boon instead of a 10g boon. So you are welcome.
