If I was asked as basic, boring, and idiotic questions as these so called journalists were asking, I would have fallen asleep in the chair. Watch any other interview with any other actor. They usually ask pretty unique and fun questions and joke around, but these anchors were not only boring, but instantly thought she had a bad attitude, and called her out. These people need to go back to college and get a degree in journalism. And learn some respect. Not every person is as giddy and hilarious as Jennifer Lawrence. Some people are shy. That shouldn't offend you.

@sarcastichamsandwich54139 жыл бұрын
Okay, I admit that pointing out that the anchors said her name wrong doesn't really mean anything. They made a mistake; it's the same with Benedict Cumberbatch. But after that the anchors made very belittling comments. "I know that the book is taught in many high schools. Were you able to read it, or do you even have any time to read? *pretentious snicker*" One could take that as, "This book is taught in many schools, but we have to make sure you actually passed that grade level and see if you can actually read." Then the: "We'll let you go so you can take a little nap and drink some Red Bull." Are you serious? How is that NOT a belittling comment? I would have left the interview too for that!
@Keopro9 жыл бұрын
+Emnuzuse Alor I would've played along with that part by legitimately having a RedBull. I tend to carry one around when needed haha
@hinampaksh9 жыл бұрын
+Emnuzuse Alor Cara seems tired and uninterested from the very start of the interview too. Probably tired from filming, this is her first film right? And that comment about reading, the anchor asked that if she ever got time to read it seeing that she's so busy(obviously tired) and cara just like most of you guys probably took it the wrong way. It wasn't condescending at all. Most stars that have starred in a film adaptation of a book have always been asked that and most of the time the actors haven't read the book, they read the script, not the book and that's okay. Most stars admit they haven't read the book that the film they're starring in was based on but it seems that she took it as a comment that she doesn't look like the reading type of person and was offended and answered sarcastically.
@teabag10049 жыл бұрын
+Emnuzuse Alor I don't think that was it. It sounded more like the newscaster thought she was complimenting Cara on her being an A-lister these days having many projects and being busy, while Cara took it as questioning her professionalism. It's ridiculous that an actress wouldn't read the book that her movie's screenplay is based on. The interviewee was asking a stupid question so Cara responded sarcastically. My two cents- she had every right to be. They wouldn't have asked that to an actor they took seriously.
@hinampaksh9 жыл бұрын
teabag I don't know if it's appropriate or not but the question "Have you read the book?" comes up a lot during interviews of film adaptations of a book. You hear it a lot in interviews of the cast of LOTR, Hobbit, GoT etc

I think she probably would've shrugged off the wrong name incident, but then they followed it with the "did you even read the book" question, and I think that's what irked her the most. B/c she wanted that part in the movie so badly that obviously when she got it, she was going to take the role seriously and read the book. DUH, Good Morning Sacramento!
@jannysoundara82613 жыл бұрын
That’s what I said. After the name calling incident and not fixing the mistake was questionable until she asked if she has read the book in such a dumb way to make her feel dumb basically. But if they had common sense they’d figure that ofc she has read the book if she was in the movie herself. Such a dumb and irrelevant question to be asked to anyone that’s an actor in that movie. Like you’re doing all these movies, you gotta know the whole thing for future interviewers, her roles in the movie. Like how is that a good question to later start with after you just called her Carla and did not even fix that mistake. I could tell from the way she asked such a ridiculous question trying to belittle her acting like she’s dumb on cameras when she’s actually thrown off and don’t know why they were even singling her out like I just don’t get it. Grown adults y’all. Being envious to the point where all you can do is try and make that person feel less of herself when in caras defense had no clue what was going on until after the 2nd question and when that blue suit guy dove in to feed into more of what the lady was saying to make them feel so highly of themselves when they actually look like the assholes here. Cara is literally thrown off guard that’s why she kept making confused faces. When they start asking her bs questions that is in way over their common sense ass to answer your self. I know those adults have common sense, you’re asking dumb questions to a model and actor bro she’s not dumb. but you’re gonna try to make her feel dumb because y’all didn’t really like her secretly and wasn’t even being sneaky about being complete envious assholes towards her. They made it known. Which is bold. Things would’ve gone different if these grown adults handled the way they spoke and asked questions and actually getting the actors name right and not fixing the mistake or saying sorry. Off the bat I’d figure they were trying to get under my skin but wait a little bit to see what other questions they are gonna ask. bide her time is what she did. And they exposed them selves when they asked her if she was irritated bc of them and she said maybe just you. You can’t just assume someone is irritated by you unless that’s what you were trying to do. Maybe she’s just reserved and if she doesn’t feel like this interview is going good, why does she have to have a smile or look excited when all she we’re was getting dissed by grown ass adults. I mean how would It make you feel if you were just targeted and singled out with out knowingly what’s actually going on. She’s sees her perspective which is figuring out why they are asking me such questions, she’s thrown off guard completely and she tries to keep it cool when they would use micro aggression questions and replies back to her. Trying to throw her off in all sorts of ways. In the interviewers perspective they are being seen as immature adults who asked irrelevant questions to make her look dumb or less of what she actually is. Laughing so much and using that type of tone to feed on to it, Like no they did not like her for some reason esp go take a nap and maybe a Red Bull. Oh so you’re gonna decide how’s she’s feeling today on your behalf when maybe she’s tired and exhausted and literally just chillin until they got childish and seemingly rude for no reason. no reason at all

The news anchors of Good Morning Sacramento need to be replaced, punished or at least retrained on how to conduct an interview. They were very rude and patronizing. I stand behind Cara though, putting myself in the news anchors position, yeah you may wish she was more lively, but don't you dare call someone out on live television asking if they are irritated. Not to mention how stupid of a question that is to begin with. Cara had every right to be irritated as she was introduced by the wrong name, which no one corrected and then she is being asked questions that were insulting her all around. I give Cara brownie points for being able to keep her cool because I would have gone nuts. As the interviewer, it is YOUR job to keep things running smoothly, asking valuable questions that not only your audience may want to hear, but questions that will even guide the interviewee through their thought process. It's finally their turn to share their voice on a movie they have just been directed through. All three of those anchors are in the wrong and I really hope a sincere apology was made to Cara Delevingne.

They weren't being rude at first..., they were just being stupid. Asking her pointless questions, or asking her stupid questions. THEN the interviewers became rude by commenting on how she was acting. They egged it on. Its like they wanted her to act like that, which is not cool. They weren't being very professional at first and then that made her not act very professional. They need to learn to treat their guests the way you should treat them. Mispronouncing her name is one thing, Not really rude, just showing a low amount of being prepared and low standards of professionalism, then asking her stupid questions on top of that, ok, fine, but that shows just even more unprofessional standards. THEN commenting that she seemed upset and not even having a clue why she was upset.... Worst interviewers ever. Edit: I didn't even watch the end of the interview. Wow!!! OK, basically patting her on the head and sending her off for a nap?!?!?! That isn't just unprofessional, it is insulting. Its a wonder she didn't tell them off. I guess her standards on how to treat people are way higher. Edit 2: Also, how the hell did they manage to pronounce her last name perfectly but messed up her first name? Like seriously, did they spend all of their time making sure they got her last name right? Now it seems like they messed her first name up on purpose. Cause her first name is easy to pronounce compared to her last name.

I have a dream, that all the Americans in this world will learn to differentiate the countries of Britain and stop saying she/he is British or she/he has a British accent. I'm from Ireland (not British for the retarded fucks who think it is) but we would never say the British girl lol we would say she is English. there is a big difference between all the British countries england, Wales, Scotland in every way, accent, culture, food, ancestry. From all of Europe please stop saying someone has a British accent because there is no British accent. someone from Scotland or Wales does not have the same accent in anyway. And to all the real Scotsmen out there, I think you agree with me that you are not British in anyway shape or form, its just a title and a jurisdiction Scotland are struggling to get out of. Long live the Celtic countries, down the Saxon ones. sincerely an Irishman

Omg this one is so cool. It is not Cara's fault at all. 1. You mess with Cara Delevigne (which is a big mistake) totally ruin her mood 2. Then that lady called her Carla. Like seriously? You guys didnt do some research before on air? If you guys didnt know her atleast do some research! Carla really sounds like someones Granny who sits on wheelchair whole day dude. 3. Nobody corrects the Carla things. 4. You guys already ruined her mood then asked such stupid questions. 5. Then you guys brag about her mood at interview before and make a conclusion about how she is on that day. I dont think that is a need. 6. They like pour a gasoline on fire. 7. You guys brings out about her salary blah blah blah on air. Like seriously? Insane okay. Insane. They should know that Cara doesnt give a single fuck and dont mess with herr.

Sadly Choices are made not always for the best. choices one makes can effect others choices if they let it effect them. Like a chain or a trees branches the only way a negative can be stopped is to not let it effect you in a negative way and you decide to bring the positive into the world with your choices you make and that can potentially have that negative chain reverse a little bit and add more positive to the world and the more positive added to the word the happier everyone generally is and the better life seems to be. Even in the bad times there are lights at the end of the tunnels. The tunnel doesn't have to be a long distance the tunnel can be even one day. Being effected in a positive or negative way is in fact a choice. We are more in control of our lives then we generally acknowledge. This isn't even close to the depts of control we have on our lives with the choices we make everyday. It is sad to see bad choices made that doesn't better anyone but we are human and just as know one can force you to do anything you don't want to do or say or feel what ever well we cant force others either just hope for the best and hope they feel better soon. in the end its up to them because its there choice.

I think that Cara's sarcasm can come off as a little rude at times and she did seem a little underwhelmed during the interview but it's not the interviewers place to call her out on it because #1 it's not professional at all and #2 like Chelsea said maybe she was having a bad day. Having to answer very similar questions for weeks at press time would get VERY tiring. The whole interview was a recipe for disaster.
