We barely even saw her in the show; she’s a shadow of a character and doesn’t have discernible personality traits. Also the idea that parents in this world don’t mourn their children is a mind-blowing statement and absolutely not true. Helaena goes mad with grief in the book and is never the same again. In the show, she moves on like nothing happened. GRRM constantly shows how parents and family members are destroyed by grief and it changes them forever, did you even watch Game of Thrones? People who die are brought up all the time in conversations whereas Jaehaerys and Lucerys are barely acknowledged in this show. It’s okay to admit it’s just bad writing.

If Daemon had been shown the vision from the start he’d brush it off as just Harrenhal being Harrenhal. Alys even mentions that the old daemon would’ve scoffed at the idea of Harrenhal’s power.

Except it didn't pay off. All the time wasted in Daemon's random visions did nothing to change his ways. Up until Alfred Broome talked to him he was still seemingly intending to make his own claim. The only thing that makes him switch tunes is that he has a prophetic vision of the literal apocalypse and the vague sense that Rhaenyra needs to rule in order to avoid it. That's it. There was no point to him seeing young Rhaenyra, Laena or dream fucking his mother. It was pure filler, like most of the season.

They didn't even talk about the Stallion that Mounts the world prophecy (which is Dany ofc) In the books she is aware of the STMTW prophecy and thinks it was her son (Rhaego). Dany knows of the Prince/Princess that was Promised one in the show from Melissandra, who brought ice(Jon) and Fire(Dany) together to fight against the common enemy)

His name wasn't under any episodes of GoT s8. Members from GRRM's team also confirmed that Bran doesn't become king in the book. D&D lied all the way throughout. Darnerys is very likely the princess that was promised. Watch things unfold I think they will find a way to resurrect her or rewrite the story. There's a reason why the prince that was promised prophecy is such a big part in HOTD.

Jon united the living not Daenerys. He warned everyone not Daenerys. He sent Sam to oldtown for the dragonglass. His entire story is about the white walkers. In the show Jon saved everyone from Ice (others) by uniting the living, and he saved the world from being destroyed by fire by kill Daenerys. In the show Jon is the prince, in the books, Jon, Daenerys and Faegon are all the prince.

it’s to make their eventual fight against one another have a deeper meaning than just “psycho with dragon fights psycho with bigger dragon”. They’ll be fighting to uphold a prophecy (Daemon) and fighting to prevent a prophecy (Aemond). With Aemond setting his sights on Harrenhal and all that’s happened to Daemon there it’s only right he will go through the same process Daemon went through (regardless of how you feel about fantasy elements showing up in a fantasy show) and how he reacts to it will determine his future at the God’s Eye.

All the fighting about who’s the prince that was promised, Jon or Daenerys, and I think it’s both. “From my blood comes the prince that was promised, and his will be the song of ice and fire”. The Valyrian word can be translated as prince or princess. They both are Targaryens descendants of the conqueror, they both managed to unite different people to fight against the night king, and he can represent ice, as son of a Stark, a northerner, and she represents the pure Targaryen blood of the dragon, fire.

I think they're building up for a post season 8 got show. The constant references to a song of ice and fire, repeatly showing the catspaw and now showing the white walkers, three eyed raven and Dany and Jon...i think the 'snow' series or something similar is going to happen down the line....i could be wrong but its the feeling am getting.

People say it's strange for Helaena to not being angry at Daemon, if she can forsee the future or at least parts of it she is likely null to emotion similar Bran and Jojen which for the most part is how she is on screen, even as a little kid. GRRM himself said he liked the direction the writers took with Helaena, that was as of episode 4 idk if he still has the same opinion.

Weird some hated this saying Haelana showing vision to Daemon to change his mind is removing him free will. Umm in book version Bran did the same thing to Theon. He used the weirdwood tree to talk to Theon back to his senses. Only season 5 scene on the books that D&D cut in adaptation for same reason. There are some people IRL like Apostle Paul who experience supernatural phenomenon & change their ways. Though sciene explain it as guilt conscious eating them away hence having experience to change them. I like this actually.

It’s kinda weird that Helaena could project herself into Daemon’s “green dream” if that’s what it was. It kinda implies that the dragon magic Valyrians have and the old god/wierwood magic MIGHT connect in someway. In the books Quaithe is able to project herself into Dany’s dreams and there’s been a lot of speculation that she’s Shaera Seastar which isn’t that unlikely. (Half sibling of Brynden Rivers/Bloodraven both children of Aegon IVth)

@@ruslancheel9140 No Aegon the 2nd, he doesnt sit his wooden throne until after Rhaenyras death. He won the war, as the whole point of it was who would sit the throne, and that was Aegon, who would be officially remembered as king while Rhaenrya is never remembered as queen.
