Yes, the planets and stars do follow you. Sort of. Because you're the only one with any sort of autonomous propulsion your gravity will slowly cause even large systems to accelerate in your direction,

Played for exactly 1hr and 7min.... Beat it and enjoyed it. Also a very insightful game, where in the real story is about a theory wherein the universe recycles itself, a single star going supernova, forming a black hole and amassing a size that hard resets all of existence.

this is a fun game if you just want time to fly and try to combine a nice planet cluster but you need to understand the missions to do them

I was just looking at old WTF is... vids, and saw your comment, I actually got Solar 2 as part of the Humble Bundle, I didn't pay only $0.01, but with these cheap bundles, the way I see it, if they didn't want you to pay as little as 1c, they wouldn't let you, the minimum could be $1 and that would be fine. Games go on these bundles because often the games have broken even, or no longer making profit, and the developers would just like people to try out the games. It's not about profit anymore.

The correct term for other "suns" is stars. The Sun is only our star as we named it as such. Though "suns" is used somewhat for other stars, the correct term is still star, at least science sticks to that.

YES! Finally a game made for me. I always walked through skyrim fighting dragons, crashed into the tyres in grid, flew and swam in gta 4... always in constant disappointment as I watched and dreamed that I could be the rock in constant safety without a care in the world.. thank God finally.. now I can die happy

I bought the first Solar. Nice to see there is another. BTW, if you become a star, you can have multiple planets with life of them. Also, your own planet's ships shooting your asteroids was in the first one, kind of annoying. haha

@thelannisters That's a bit harsh... I'm currently on 10 hours played and still liking it a lot.. You don't HAVE to go from asteroid to planet to star to black hole .. after you get one star you can grow another planet into a star. The more stars in your system the harder it gets.. If you just avoid everything and focus on growing from asteroid to black hole asap then you're right it can be done in 30~40 minutes.. but that's not the only part of the game :)

@BlameCarson if you get "Solar 2 has stopped working". Got to the folder you installed it (Program Files\Games\Solar2) or Program Files (x86). Go into to "Redist" folder. And run and install "xnafx40_redist.msi". Fixed my crash at least.

I would argue that the sun is a concept of the star at the center of your current solar system and therefore argue any star with life supporting planets is a sun. The origin of the word is to light up or shine, therefore sun would always be an accurate and appropriate word for the star at the center of the particular solar system you are in. sun is a word in itself, not just Sun, the name of our star. But of course, there can only be one (or two, if they are twined suns etc)

@fashnek The idea of "WTF is.." is to look at a game and get raw first impressions of it, not to review it or show off all the features. He does sometimes go into more details to stop a cyber-siege on his person like with duke but it isn't to show the entire game, it's to give you a brief look at the start of it. Really, with so many game designers first impressions make or break a game seeing as if it doesn't make a good first impression, what are the chances of you playing it further?

@11hellboy Is that a joke I don't get or something? Everything, everywhere that has any mass at all has gravity. It's just that gravity is an extremely weak force. (Test it. Pick up a paperclip with a fridge magnet. The EM force of that tiny magnet is stronger than the gravity of the entire earth). Compared to the mass of a large body like a planet, the gravity of a person or a pen is infinitesimal. It's weak, but it's there.
