True good Samaritans in the last video. My god what kind of idiot thinks it’s OK to cut off an ambulance like that. People need to pull their heads out of their butts when they’re driving and realize they’re not alone on the road and they don’t own it. We all have to drive on these streets so why not just be nice to each other that way everybody gets home safe.

So you don't seem to realize that it has nothing to do with being a good Samaritan? God, I hope you're not a driver. It is mandatory by law that an ambulance with lights on must be treated as a special vehicle with a right of way. Even when the ambulance violates the usual traffic laws, everyone has to yield. And if you think about it, there is an obvious common sense to this law. This is what the special light signals mean, otherwise everyone would fit them on their car. All drivers are bound to move out of the way of the ambulance, as it has the same rights as the police, and this guy did exactly the opposite. It has nothing to do with "realizing they're not alone" or not being nice -- it's like an order of magnitude above that -- and this is why people have reacted like this, as no one in that video was trying to be nice, but rather trying to preserve some common sense -- this taxi driver, who was likely drunk or mad or both, committed a reckless driving and a felony equivalent to consistently driving through several red lights. Such behavior typically warrants an immediate licence revocation and detainment. The only thing worse than this is deliberately trying to kill or effectively killing someone with a vehicle.

The most dramatic change in behaviour I ever witnessed was when following a lorry full of mattresses. The webbing had given way and they were hanging of the back bouncing off the road. I could not overtake due to heavy traffic so kept pulling out flashing my lights. Eventually the driver stopped, got out and walked towards me angrily. I pointed to the load, and it was interesting to see a face of fury instantly change to a face of gratitude.

Animals in general can go on quite a while with internal injuries that will kill them. Bears especially, but even a cat can break a leg and then run away on the other three. I've seen a dog hit by a car run around for ten minutes before he dropped of internal bleeding. I'd like to think that driver was a hunter who took it as duty to track the bear down and finish him if necessary.

I don’t think it’s stupid to assume the bear could have survived that impact. But yeah probably more than a bruise. I had a cat who was run over by an f150 who survived the hit (right over his head). He bounced off the road and ran, cams back and my dad spent a couple hundred on him. We kept him a while longer, but I think he went nuts and disappeared into the woods the next year or something. In all reality he would have been better off to be put down, I think.

For those of you afraid for the bear: it was most likely FINE. Their hides are so thick that even certain calibers of bullets cannot get through (that's where the term "bear shot" comes from) so even being hit like that would not damage it enough to kill it or impede it's survival. Hurt? Yes. Bruise? Yes. But that bear will go on its merry way and heal from any damage caused. Just did some estimate math: he was driving about 17 mph. Not enough to break the bear's bones, unless it was a smaller bone like a phalange.

People in the US would not drive away from a bad scene and I've always seen people make room, at least here in Pittsburgh for emergency vehicles. If traffic is totally congested, I can see drivers not knowing where to move too.

Looks like his brain froze and didn't know what to do, so he hit the brakes. Anytime you are caught up in not knowing what the person in whatever car will do, never completely break out of fear. You should go around the vehicle vs try to beat them and get ahead of them, as they will not back up and you can keep your momentum and your body in tact!

The tree fell on them because it was getting annoyed at the fact that they wouldn't move their car to the side to let traffic through. That's common decency if there are no injuries (clearly they were none as the hopped right out.) It is actually a law where I live to move aside when possible.

In many countries in Europe, the law says that you are not to move your vehicle when in a accident even if you are blocking traffic until the Police comes. As crazy as that sounds its for insurance purposes. I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it for myself.

Desturbed kitten if he was okay he was probably in alot of pain and too messed up to survive. Probably died very miserable a week or so later after being too messed up to fend for itsself. I hate Bears a bear killed my papa.

Joseph Martinez Bears are wild animals. We have no business venturing out into the woods messing around in their home! They're protective and territorial. You can't blame them for that. It's their nature. If people go out intending to hunt them or hunt other animals or mess around where they have no business being, then I have no sympathy for what happens to them. Same for trying to keep a wild animal captive. If it turns on you, too bad!
