+Simon and Martina Oh my gosh you guys it's so good to have these videos again, and you're learning katakana already judging by the background. Might I suggest though when you spell your name Martina, that you spell it 'マルティナ.’ The lowercase 'イ’ will give you a 'tea' sound rather than a 'teh' sound.

I've noticed you guys have a different energy when filming from your apartment. It seems more free, less polished, more _you_ somehow. Brings me back to your Buchon days, when all you had was your place, a camera, a computer, some second-hand props, and your beautiful, quirky selves to work with.

I think it's because we're less self conscious at home. In public I'm always concerned about being too abrasive. At home though we can goof around like we naturally are :)

Japan is popular in anime and technology and culture, but has dropped in sense of Pop culture that had a decade ago. Kpop is more popular now days, or at least it seems so than Jpop. And is not just me thinking this: qz.com/21468/why-it-was-so-easy-for-korea-to-take-over-japan-in-the-pop-culture-wars/ Talking from the perspective of someone who only listens to chinese music. Why I say this? at least in my little small circle of my tiny world, when I listen to Jiajia or any other chinese singer, I always got confused with a japanese culture fan BEFORE, NOW I only get confused with a Korean fanatic... no matter what, china has always been below those two... :( blame the youtube ban.

Hi Simon and Martina! I used to live in Japan and still visit every year. I recommend you guys go check out the Takano Fruit Parlor and try out their fruit parfaits. They are like no parfait you've ever seen or tasted before. What makes it so good though is the fruits themselves! They are so sweet! You should definitely try the strawberry ones if they are in season. YOU HAVE TO TRY THIS PLACE. There are like 2 locations in Shinjuku I believe. You should definitely do a video on it!

+Brainiac V They used the wrong shutter speed on their camera. Japan use 60hz in their electric grid so light bulbs flicker 60 times/second. If they use a shutter speed on their camera that isn't divisible by 60 then those flickering lines appear.

+nagihikoxfan77 I think it should be ティ ^_^
@mellamokori9 жыл бұрын
テ is right, but she should add a little ィ to it so it's ティ. That would make it sound like Martina and not Martena.
@nagihikoxfan779 жыл бұрын
oh yes but the Ti is also Chi so it could be both :c
@mellamokori9 жыл бұрын
+nagihikoxfan77 Yes but チ is definitely a chi sound, so it would make her name Marchina. ティ is quite commonly seen in Katakana so it's appropriate, and it has a different sound than チ. チ being ti is just a romanization, it isnt pronounced that way.
