I have a 21 SEL myself, if there's anything I'm jelly of it's the sun roof, the speakers, and the ambient lighting. The lighting is very subtle but I like how it looks.

Excellent review from beginning to end. I have a 2013 Hyundai ELANTRA limited and it has given me almost no problems at all. Although I have close to 230,000 miles on it and the only issues I've had are because of the low profile tires easily making potholes feel like the Grand Canyon and the fact that it seems to go through lights every other month. I'm constantly changing a headlight or a tail light or something for whatever reason.

Disappointing there’s no blind spot cameras. My 2015 Civic had one, and I freaking loved it, but for whatever reason you rarely find them anymore.

The Santa Fe does, but the Elantra does have the blind spot detector and also emergency blind spot sensor lane realignment

Nice. I’m debating an Elantra Limited or a Sonata Limited. We had a Sonata with the V6 growing up for about 10 years and it was still going strong when my mom traded it in. Never a problem. I’ve always liked Hyundai’s. BTW the word “appliqué” is pronounced “app-li-kay” not “a-pleek.”

Lol I appreciate the correction! The new sonata limiteds use the 1.6 turbo engine which probably won’t give you that same punch as the V6. The N line sonata has way more power but no LSD so it doesn’t put the power to the ground. The N-Line Elantra gives you some good punch, puts the power down relatively well and starts less than $1,000 more than the Limited!

One correction, it has an ITV, not a CVT. The IVT is chain driven, not belt driven. The IVT gets better gas mileage. Also, in Canada we don't have the limited trim, we have the ultimate trim with tech as a comparison. We have the one with rear heated seats. Makes sense since we're in Canada. Also, if you stand behind the trunk with keys it opens up automatically.

I test drove a Hybrid Limited in Southern California, and it had ventilated seats. Strange that yours didn't.

Great review! I'd suggest upgrading to the limited Hybrid trim. You get better acceleration off the line due to the torquey electric motor, far better handling due to the fully independent rear suspension, a much better dual clutch 6 speed auto tranny instead of a CVT, and a savings of about $50 per month in fuel costs, when compared to the non Hybrid Elantra. That savings pays for the Hybrid option in about 4 years, and will save about $10,000 in fuel over the life of the vehicle. This makes the Limited Hybrid wonderfully affordable, and you get to enjoy all the perks and tech of the Limited trim for free.

I’ve test driven the car and it has heated seats AND cooled seats which you can control in the BlueLink app I think that’s what that’s called but you can control the seats from your phone

@@nixc71 It is not a question, Hyundai and Kia are rated for initial quality and 3 years of ownership right alongside the Toyota and Lexus of the world. A bit better or a bit worse. Search, Autoblog Kia leads J.D. Power's Vehicle Dependability Study for 2022 (this is 2019 cars I believe - 3 year ownership). Kia, Buick, Hyundai, Toyota and Lexus are the top .. Honda is quite a ways down for this one.

Would have liked to have seen the key fob operations (remote start?). Also many reviewers don't open the front passenger door and show the seat and functions (adjustable?) Would like to see all the Monroney sticker details/options. I don't care for the trunk and gas door latch on the floor or the rod to hold up the hood. Thumbs up on your review, though. Thanks.

Still don't have my second fob! Called dealership, they don't give a damn! Had to call California to get a date of 4 6 23! Trunk lid plastic keeps popping loose on passenger side! I've had a bad experience.

Currently waiting on a SEL Connivence elantra should be coming in about a month or so! Thought about the hybrid or limited but wanted to stay under 30k after taxes those trims would’ve went over 30

The Elantra with the convenience package is the same thing as the Limited, only difference is the seats. Same engine and features. Getting the package will save you a couple of thousands, I've compared the two.

same thing happened to me but ALL the tires have to be at 35 so make sure it’s all at 35 and look at the light again it should come off

Very Nice review. I’m still confused which one to go for between Hybrid and Luxury. Ohh BTW I’m in Canada so we don’t get Limited trim. You’re not happy that limited doesn’t come with BVM and front parking sensors and I’m not happy that in. Canada we don’t even get LED high/low beams and Power driver seat too even in top trim which is very surprising. Waiting for your Elantra Hybrid Limited review. Thanks

Nobody was buying the Limited because you could get most of the necessary items in the SEL Premium. Voila! Hyundai deletes the SEL Premium. Now you got to buy the Limited.

No you have the SEL Convenience package but with the limited you get the Bose system leather interior and a few other things like sunroof

@@jasonarmstrong2970 No. I have an SEL Premium. SEL used to come with either the Convenience Package or the Premium Package. The Premium had the upgraded sound and the sunroof. That's my point. You got most of the good stuff without having to step up to the Limited.
