I have sooooooo many of these cars! I think this era was the most popular with collectors as well as production levels because you just see them so often when bulk buying.

This is definitely my favorite era ish as I grew up in the 90s so these were all my childhood skipping rocks, i just picked up the yellow fiero with BBS rims mint on card today. Can't be worth all that much but the sentimental value is thru the roof. Love all ur vids O dawg keep em comin 🍻🍻🍻✌🏻

This was when I was collecting full-tilt. Graduated college and not yet married. Had time and money. I have all of these (not variations). Not my favorite era but glad to have them. Better than the coming early ‘00s era.

Great video! I’ve recently gone down the rabbit hole of Gift Pack variations specifically the Chevrolet and Ford ones. Love the detailed overview, and your museum is a dream!

It seems like in 1996 hot wheels decided to use up a lot of their old dies and toolings send them to China for one more time. A lot of those castings never came back such as several military vehicles. Some disappeared only to reappear such as the Chevy Blazer and Hot Bird. Others were recast in 2011-2012 for the Hot Ones retro release. Several Ex Corgi castings came out in the mainline as well

Omg as soon as I saw that car layout, I said "omg I have that one, and that one, and that one!" LOL. I didn't know there were so many different wheel versions of the same cars. Few of mine are still in packages though. I could spend days in that room just listening and learning about each car type. The dot wheel type.....I'll be honest to me is a little weird looking on some. I don't think my F40 is that old but I don't know when it was made. It's red.....says F40 on it and has the BBS wheels on it. I don't have the ones you got. I rarely see F40s for sale. Such a cool collection!

I believe that F40 was released in 1995 as part of the Gold Medal Speed series. Source: HW Wiki

I wonder why silver painted cars aren't actually made from silver? They would be expensive, but how cool would they look!
