also, the reason the song is also about a goat stems from the old sagas speaking of the goat "Heidrun" standing on the roof of Valhalla. From its udder flows a river of mead that is used to quench the thirst of the mighty "einhejer" the warriors wallen in battle and selected by the Valkyries to come to Valhalla and spend their days fighting in the Plains of Ida in front of Valhalla and their nights, feasting and drinking in its great hall. all in preparation for Ragnarok. the Final battle.

Thanks for the reaction and the laughs early this morning. I just love the ending because you think the bartender would die in the chaos of the stuff in the bar, but nope arrow to the chest at the end while cleaning up. Also. I've been listening to Brothers of Metal for a while, I absolutely love them. I'm a Norse Pagan so hearing music that even references the stories of old makes me happy, despite being one of the oldest religions in the world it's being forgotten. Someone thought Thor was ONLY a marvel character and tried making fun of me for worshipping a "comic book character". I thought my brain was going to explode, my mind was blown by how few brain cells some people need to live.

This is a good as song. These guys really bring a smile to ones face every time you see and hear them. Even on your bearded face! This is one of those songs that must be super fun to sing and dance to on their concerts. Really hope to see them live soon!

Love this band, requested some songs from them ages ago. Nice to finally see them on your channel. (I know you have requests for probably years of reactions). They are from the same small city in Sweden as Sabaton, but they have a long history of "Metal" there. There's a big Copper mine there (at least since year 1000) so it might be metal in their blood. Yggdrasil is great, Prohpecy of Ragnarök if you want some faster and more aggressive song. Oh and the guy with the spiked helmet is like Kenny from Southpark he usually dies in their videos.

This is not a song.. it's drinking game. you're suppose take a drink every time they say "mead" and "another" ... something I learned when I saw a live concert of them. Love these guys. But I still say this not got WTH Wednesday. The song is about warriors getting for battle, and they know if they die they will go to Valhalla where they will drink mead. and another. This was fun😀 They used 46,92 liters of beer during the recording of the video. Not real mead. And they now has allianced with Four Brothers Brewewy to produce their own Brothers of metal mead 😀 Their ballad One are much better than this one, the Mead Song are just fun 😀😀🇸🇪

can confirm. that runic writing litterally says "kapov"(on account of it being a northen furthark of runes, the oldest btw, the letter "W" is not present and as such, the letter "V" is used instead)

Let me tell ya, do you need a mead song to drink mead? No. But does listening to a mead song while drinking mead enhance the experience? Absolutely. (Or so I'd think. I... don't think I've actually tried mead, but drinking anything to Drink by Alestorm has the same effect, so I can't see why wouldn't this have the same one)
