This is a really interesting program. I will have to really look at this.
Opening message by Dr. Ortwin Lüers: "I am deeply grateful to the Senior disciples of our Sifu Chee Kim Thong: Thornton E. Chamberlin, Seto Quan Mun, Ng Ho Chim, Simon Liew, Moo Tan Law, and Ray Woon, whose unwavering dedication, translation efforts, and support have been invaluable in sustaining Master Chee Kim Thong's legacy for over 36 years. Their commitment to nurturing our group and fostering the practice of Wu Ji Quan, alongside the myriad of arts and skills passed down by Grandmaster Chee, has been truly remarkable. I extend my heartfelt appreciation to all the students who have participated in, organized, and sponsored the Wu Ji Summercamps. Special gratitude goes to my dear friend Sifu Yap Boh Hoeng for his generous support and invaluable contributions to our journey. Furthermore, I wish to express my sincere thanks to Kieren Krygier (The Martial Man) for his exceptional work and for providing me with the platform to showcase the beauty and depth of this art, ensuring its preservation for generations to come." - Dr. Ortwin Lüers.

Back in the 1970s, I attended the Sunday 5A classes of the late Master Kim Han in London. He would always begin his class with a five minute meditation using the Heaven, Man, Earth mudra.

Interesting, Dr. Ortwin luers seems to have a high deep knowledge, genuine,of the principles of internal martial arts. He has demonstrated to have control in every part of body of opponent. Thanks Kieren for sharing

this style is known as the mother of tai chi. i had heard of style like this from my master who told me that the orginal tai chi was not called tai chi (and don't get smart and start w/ "t'ai chi ch'uan") and that the first 12 forms were secretely called "child's poses" because the hidden dim mak behind the movements was so simple a child could do it...i have searched for info on this style for a while and it's just recently being talked openly about, thankfully....i just used the same uses from his demos of wrist lock grabs in class for work but mine is from the wing chun but does the same motion

When I got to the Opening Tai Chi part. The Wu Chi and Yoga go hand in hand here. Yoga from going from "high to low" , ect...is just done on the floor. The elbows are close to ribs, and its a reverse push up in a sense. Tai Chi, I picture would be broadening the "upper ring" with those arms, making it more of a "peng" energy...instead of a push with the hands Just some thoughts

How many forms are there in that system? And which is the different between this system and others?

How does this relate to Yan Shou Gong? Are there any overlapping?
@THEMARTIALMAN3 ай бұрын
Yes, WuJi is one of the parent arts of Yan Shou Gong, so there is a huge overlap. You can find out more from this video with Master Yap: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oKvKY2aKh8uEbMksi=ru4YxG3cIn3Tc9Yq

Always interesting but also no one ever saw this skill in real combat. At least there is no video on youtube. Is it usable in real combat? Maybe.
@shavan-n2f7 ай бұрын
In this movie, everything is fake, but in reality, if you find the ability to control your body weight, you have to really fight for years to do it in a real fight, because the path of the forces changes constantly in the fight, and it is accompanied by fear and tightening of the muscles unconsciously. Everything is lost
@onlinemoney20137 ай бұрын
@user-ou8oj8fy9r yes basically you must have allready lost the fight / no fight. And then you can move freely.

I wish to ask, is the Wu Ji Quan taught here and 12 step Medical Wu Ji Quan taught by Ortwin Lüers the same thing or different forms?
@THEMARTIALMAN7 ай бұрын
Hi, no, this course offers comprehensive instruction on the Yin and Yang forms of Wu Ji Quan. Dr. Ortwin is not teaching the 12-step medical Qi Gong in this program.

Good day is it hard to learn rooting ? it is a basic practice
@AlexKarel-bh3yy7 ай бұрын
There were 2 things he used in this clip when he was being lifted. 1. Rooting 2. Energy releasing Only rooting alone without releasing energy could not hold him on the ground. When he said rooting in this clip, he meaned 2 things combined. Rooting alone takes time. Energy releasing - it depends on individuals, some never gain the ability, some grab it in short time.

This seems to be just zhan zhuang and shuli. Or am i wrong? Most of these things are demonstrated by zhan zhuang teachers.
@giuseppetancredi15036 ай бұрын
This master s nice but i would love to check if he is in zhan zhuang for all the time while hè is in movement. That s the hard part of this path

This whole mudra business for martial arts “that Noboddy thinks of” . Is all over the kungfu movie industry. The shao lin monk with his hand infront of his sternum halve namaskar.. And using it engaging with violence from the outside world mumbling amituofo

Yes. But where did the Chinese get these things from? (e.g., Bodhidarma)
@urielpolak99497 ай бұрын
I am no authority and i like theguy and what he shows. But he to goes from wuji to taichi its just basic cosmology and principle. Its its own art. Its wuji quan not taichi quan. But we all go from wuji pre natal state/unborn to yin yang principlle. AKA taichi and the 10000 things. Inescapable

I met a man who taught Tai Chi Chuan. He doesnt think there is anything in "Wuji" I knew from then on, he was wrong
@back-seat-driver13557 ай бұрын
Great questions from the martial ma Kiren but standard answers like those from every tai chi book! No convincing demo at all and so not motivating to take the course. What is the use of this Wuji? I have not yet found any different aspect and practical application what is not in Tai chi and other arts already found and the shown movements, hm, look pretty isolated and senseless! Sorry....!
@MairtinMcNamara5 ай бұрын
In fairness, I don't think he said it offers anything different from taichi, just that the mechanics or the perspective on it is different.
