After thorough comparison between these 2 brands(models), I chose the Wuben P45R, as I preferred its Side Switch functioning, rather than the Acebeam L16. I heard that the Acebeam L16 Side Switch is hard to find in the dark. Wuben P45R has glowing Side Switch.

Video done well, excellent description of the details!!. These are two excellent torches, both built with excellent materials and with a nice design. The acebeam is a bit 'more performing, the shot seems a little longer, and the LED has a more beautiful color. anyway I like them both!!!

A good difference which I could mention I notice with the wuben L60 the optic is plastic. Does that wuben have a plastic optic as well? The Acebeam L16 optic, is it made of glass?

Wuben P45R flashlight distance range is just 370m, and the Acebeam L16 reaches 603m, right? So, their are very different.

you are right - but in reality they look a lot closer as on paper L16: 1700 Lumen / 75 kCd (rated 2000 / 90.8 kCd) P45R: 1980 Lumen / 32.5 kCd (rated 2000 / 34kCd)

Acebeam l16 looks brighter to me and the beam is more concentrated at the center hence, it throws farther.

*Acebeam L16 = 2000 lumens @ 90,000+ cd* *Wuben P45R = 2000 lumens @ 34,000+ cd* *Is that correct?*

@@BurntPlaydoh Do not know that either. But I do know that my L16 is my go-to light when a bright and focused "thrower" is needed that can be used easily in a tactical, one-handed situation. For short uses, though, that is. The thing gets very hot in just 3.5 minutes @ 2000 lumens. But it has that dedicated tailswitch which always and only gives the max output at a touch. For certain very specific purposes, nothing that I have found yet can do what the Acebeam L16 does.

@@BurntPlaydoh Well, the L16 is really an outdoor purpose instrument -- that's for sure. But for almost all of my indoor needs, the small and versatile Nitecore MT10A has been unbeatable. It is small, runs on a 14500 and puts out 925 lumens, with a tailcap that can give momentary on or the full-click ON mode, as well as two side switches that appear almost as one single switch -- giving either increasing or decreasing output levels, at any time. No need to progressively change output levels. Power is through the tail switch only. For close-up work -- it also has one red LED to preserve night vision and it can indicate _precise_ remaining battery voltage. The 14500 provides all the power needed for most indoor purposes, over a week even, sometimes. That is one light that is literally within arms reach of me most anyplace I go. I always keep an MT10A in my briefcase, too -- along with a couple of other performers. The L16 serves a different purpose, certainly. But it is also one that I would not want to be without.

@@BatheHerWellAndBringHerToMe I have been reading a lot of your comments. Just got finished reading up on your comments about the T36 and the faulty tailcap switch. I purchased an Acebeam T27 and I love it. I'm interested in the L16. What's your opinion on that. A step down, a step up, a step to the side? I'm looking for an 18650 EDC, and the L16 looks a bit large, but I'm honestly comfortable with that if its not a huge step up from something like a Fenix PD35. The PD35 is very small and easy to carry in my opinion. I currently EDC a Fenix E16 and want a second, more powerful option, as my next step up in size is a ROT66 219B.

@@thatplat1 : The head of the L16 is a little larger and, thus -- slightly more unweildy than your PD35 -- if you were planning to carry it in your pants pocket. I do occasionally carry mine in my back pocket, and it fits just fine in a coat pocket or a belt sheath. But if your needs are for a very focused, intense beam for shorter periods of maximum output (2000 lumens @ 90,000+ cd) the L16 may well suit you. And it makes an excellent rifle-mounted light, too & the mounts are readily available. If you prefer the use of the tailswitch for EDC purposes, the L16 tail goes directly to turbo only. For EDC, I think it is larger than most. I forgot just what the cd rating is on your PD35? I had looked seriously at versions of those a while back but after weeks of reading finally decided on a Nitecore P12GT. That was an interesting learning experience. There are newer, higher lumen models of the P12 but they output only one-half of the intensity (candela) of the P12GT. The L16 is really in its own class & nothing I have found touches it. But, be sure -- after less than 4 minutes continuous on max, it is going to be _hot._ By now, the Acebeam T36 may have resolved the issue w/the tailswitch, I have not followed that recently. One "modder" told me that he has had no issues at all with a number of them that he has worked on. If I remember, your T27 is a beast -- I think it uses 2 18650's but that is just from the foggy part of the back of my head right now, so I am not sure about that. But still, for certain purposes, and unless or until some company manages to surpass it -- I will _always have an L16 available for particular outdoor purposes._ *edit=* Just checked the T27 & see that it takes one 21700. There is another Acbeam that throws well & takes 2 18650 cells. Can't quite remember the model...*

@@BatheHerWellAndBringHerToMe "There is another Acbeam that throws well & takes 2 18650 cells. Can't quite remember the model...*" I think that might have been the T21? Looks similar to the Maxtoch Shooter 2x? I'll have to look into it. Thank you, by the way, for the long, detailed, response. I really appreciate that you didn't just gloss over it, I really wanted your opinion, as you seem very knowledgable. Thank you. The L16 has 603 meters of throw on turbo, which is PLENTY lol, but I'd really like that. And getting hot on Max isn't an issue for me, as I'd be using medium and high for the most part. I know high is still going to get hot, but that's the price you pay for having a smaller light with high output, for its size. The L16 would give me the throw I like from my T27 to spot check (30-45 seconds) an area (thats all I really use my thrower for), while giving me long runtimes at 1000 lumens, compared to the PD35. The T27 I bought was in neutral white, so I'm probably not getting the full 1180 meters of throw. Conservatively, lets call it 950 meters? Does that sound right to you? I haven't found any reviews on the neutral white emitter. Anyways, that thing (T27) IS a beast like you said. So much so, that I feel it's almost a safety feature to be able to see that far away. I prefer carrying it, over my Convoy L6 (which I believe has similar throw to the Acebeam L16) when I go on walks, because I can get a feel for what's around me, before its too close. I'm tacticool like that. But really, it's impressive, and it does make me feel secure. It's also blinding up to 75 meters, so there's some fun to be had. Gives me a nice head start to run :). ***So the question remains for me, do you feel like the L16 is too large to carry in a pocket? Even after the excitement of a new light wears off? If I purchase it, it will be as my primary EDC and pocket carried daily. In my line of work, I am in dark areas 4 days a week guaranteed. Furthermore, how useful do you feel the lower modes are when used close range (1-5 feet)? Again, thank you for taking the time to read and respond to all of this. Looking forward to hearing from you.
