【Introduction】Wudang Mountain, in the northwest of Hubei province, is perhaps the best known of China's Taoist holy mountains. It was listed by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage Site in 1994. It is famous for its perfect combination of natural and cultural scenery. It is also renowned for its magnificent ancient buildings, profound traditional Taoist culture and Wudang kungfu.

It might be helpful to Western viewers to understand that when a Chinese person says "Taiji", they are usually referring to the symbol we call "YinYang", which is representative of the Taoist principles. They are usually not referring to the martial art / exercise.

Fascinating, and yes, you're correct. My Tai Chi Quan teacher is originally from China, & she'd confirm what you posted.

Yes and No, depending on the context. If you say practising Taiji, it's a form of Taoist martial arts. If you say Taiji Bagua, it refers to a set of Taoism symbols containing YinYang.

No - Chenjiagou is the home of taijiquan.

@@elliotvernon7971 It sounds funny every time I hear some people saying that Taichi, which is a martial art based on Taoism, was invented by some Buddhist in Chen village.
