Your translation is spellbinding! Like yet unlike others for the same OE poetry. Perhaps it is just me but this gives me chills and I think of such creatures as Ulfhednar or werewolves in legend and lore. The plot reminds me of King Alfred hiding in the fens being hunted by the Danes.
