Something you should know Lew, years ago one of the developers for crash bash admitted that in development they did not properly test the platinum relics. The gold relics were properly tested, but the devs ran out of time and the QA team could not beat all platinum relics before release. As such, they are literally unfinished. It is no wonder they are so broken. Good luck on your 200% journey Lew! 😃

Character stats explanation: Dingo is the worst because on the majority of game types he and Rilla are the worst, but Rilla has an advantage in 1 game type, so basically, Dingo is even worse than Rilla. Crate Throwing: Tiny/Kong and Cortex/Brio are almost the same. Because of their height, Tiny and Kong throw the crates a bit further than Brio/Cortext, but not by much. Brio and Cortex are more agile and have smaller hitboxes, but the extra range Tiny and Kong get is significant for speedrunning. Crash/Coco are almost as bad as Dingo/Rilla here, but they can move while they attack, while Dingo and Rilla (and everybody else) can't do that. So they're the worst here. Polar Bears: Tiny/Kong here the best also. 2nd strongest dash, but they recharge a bit faster than Cortex/Brio. Because Cortex/Brio use the full bar for charging, they have the strongest dash of all, but they lack proper recharge. Crash/Coco can dash 2 times in a row like Dingo and Rilla, but the dashes from them are stronger than the ones from Dingo and Rilla. So, Dingo/Rilla, again worst here. Tanks: Tiny/Kong shots are the strongest, can only shoot 1 at a time, but they have a shorter duration than other shots. That's why they're the best here. Dingo/Rilla can have 2 projectiles at the same time, but are only about as strong as the ones from Crash/Coco. So Dingo/Rilla go 2nd here. Also the projectiles last very long, which is bad. Crash/Coco are kinda the same as the scientists, but the shots disappear sooner than the ones from Brio/Cortex and are a little bit stronger. Brio/Cortex are the worst here. Only 1 projectile at a time, lowest damage and highest duration. Pogo: All are the same here, but for Rilla: Due to a developer's oversight, Rilla's jumps are 1 frame faster than everybody elses, but it's not noticable by any margin. For all other game types, the characters are the same. Overall, Tiny and Kong excel better in 3 game types than the others, which is why they're considered the best characters (objectively speaking).

The characters don't make that huge of a difference. I have done it with Crash and Cortex (not 200% but to unlock all stages). Dingodile and Roo are better in the tank stages because they can fire 2 shots and they dissipate quick so you don't need to be defenceless for long.

Yeah I used to play this a lot with my parents. Sadly... we mostly played Pogo Pandemonium minigames and rarely anything else. Sometimes I got them to play the Medieval Madness ones and rarely Ballistix and Polar Push ones.

The beggining of the "You Fail" journey and where he get platinum in the Crash platforming was complicated, here is a living hell, imagine this as a remake with online support, this game is the Mario Party of Sony.

The only games where all characters have the same stats are in Ballistix, Crash Dash, and the Medieval Mayhem levels. In the Pogo levels, everyone has the same stats with the exception of Rilla, who has a 1 frame advantage, allowing him to have a shorter jump and faster movement in NTSC.

This game is like Mario Party but on steroids with a touch of insanity on top and I love it for that. It wasn't made for everybody but if you have the muscle and a strong patience to withstand it then this one is the right game for you.

Im glad you incorporated the "FAIL COUNTER" btw Lewis. Also, I've decided to play along. Donna do 200% of Crash Bash for the 3RD TIME now. (1st one as Coco and idk when, 2nd one as Rilla Roo) Gonna make same amount of progress as you do, each stream. Rn, im on "17 FAILS" and my character is "TINY TIGER." I recall getting around 6 or 7 fails on Polar Panic Crystal Challenge. Got worst luck there. And 3 fails on N.Ballism Crystal Challenge. The rest where 1 fail on some gem challenges respectively given time out/bad rng do not mix. This is what happens when more or less you know the game inside out LMAO. 🤣

I'm having war flashbacks of Caddicarus's 200% Crash Bash playthrough, as well as my own when I finally managed to find and buy the game like, four years ago on Amazon, and play it for the first time. I couldn't complete the first pinball mini-game to progress. That took me about an hour just to attempt. The other few levels were fine, I got the trophies, but the pinball one was hell. Never played the game again. That being said, good luck on the "racing" mini-games with potential lap-skips, Lewis! 😈

So apparently Dingo is the worst in terms of stats because he and Rilla Roo's aren't as good as others overall in minigames where the stats are unique, but apparently in pogo levels Rilla Roo moves one frame faster than everyone else which means despite being the same as Dingo in ever other way, this one feature makes Rilla technically better than Dingodile. And it was purely an oversight from the devs. Nuts, I know.

We need a remake of this game. Mini games a lil more polished, platinum relics balanced, maybe even more difficulty settings for the story. Easy could be 1 win per trophy, normal is 2, hard is 3, N.Sane is also 3, but with a slight randomized disadvantage (less points, slower speed, etc, not as bad as the crystals obviously, but makes it more difficult). Then an online 1v1v1v1, 2v2, maybe even a chaos 4 players vs 4 NPC's. Some new mini games, could even have some lvl up system for the online, customizations, new emotes etc. This game is a goldmine of opportunities.

10:06 the fact that he have the lightning ability, but rather than ran away until the timer's up, he decided to charge into Rilla Roo and then proceed to loose the lightning and die afterwards is kinda painful to witness 💀 honestly my advice on playing these minigames that you might be playing the combat minigame too aggressive to the point that most of the fails are your own fault

I've 200%-completed this game like at least *ten* times in Co-op with my dad in a ten years timeframe. In that same amount of time I must have completed this game in the Single Player mode barely once or twice. The point is that, YES, this game is such a living hell to complete in Single Player. The AI is designed to destroy any of your hopes (specially the Relics) lmao. But, anyway, I know Lewis is capable of completing this. He's already used to having his sanity broken in previous Crash games 🗿
