I could never beat any of these plat relic times as a kid so to see you just demolish them and then just casually get PBs is amazing to see. Really enjoy this Wrath of Cortex content

A lot of them, if you use post hit invincibility, the plats crumble as they were not build in mind with this trick. As a kid, I got plats up till Eskimo Roll and quit them right after. Got some plats afterwards too, but flat out didnt cared after Eskimo Roll's destruction.

13:20 the mech's bazooka never fires when you're moving/aiming it around or reached the edge of the aiming during that single aim-holding moment. You have to get it at a standstill to have a shot at firing. It's finicky pretty much. Also Crashteroids is the definitive "black hole" level with that dumb glitch. It's seemingly super random when you least expect it. It's super annoying. Nicely done on these, especially on Droid Void, Lewis.

Droid Void's seems like your most intense run with how much you had to deal with. Its music & atmosphere goes so hard despite having bad monkey bar sections and a janky shooting mech. They could've buffed it by giving it one extra hit point at least, but I like how each wumpa shot creates a shockwave plus you can still be invincible while in it.

Yeah, I think these are some frustrating levels to platinum and, of course, these are the ones with tighter platinum relic times! To be fair, there is some leniency, though, I wouldn't say these are easy levels. Nice job on the later attempts of Droid Void. That one's long and those cactus-looking enemies for sure get in your way, lol. Avalanche is more fun imo than the other two to speedrun, especially Crashteroids, where you just get bombarded by bullets from every direction and sometimes a random instant death, haha. Though, the other two levels are fine, it's just they are kinda a pain when you have to speedrun em.

Im glad I came prepared for Avalanche. My old PB was 43 seconds. Now its 0:41:48 (Cant seem to get any better.) Droid Void. Took me almost an hour, but i got it down. Original PB after Tooney, 0:43:22. Now, I got 0:38:52. (I hate that electric floor and monkey bars segment.) Crashteroids has an exploit which level can be "done" in like 6 seconds, but my time never used that exploit. (And never will. Prefer the authentic runs.) My PB is 0:33:70

You can use the death tornado spin to skip most monkey bar sections. While not exhausting the double jump before spin gliding, you single jump & spin glide, then double jump(make sure you hold jump) immediately after the spin glide ends. Make sure you're not hitting the bottom of crates while doing it cause it somehow eats your double jump. This is very useful for Weathering Heights & Gold Rush stages.

Also the key is to death tornado spin on the ground first, then immediately short hop while spinning to glide better in the air, then immediately jump after the spin ends(tapping jump button helps if not sure when it ends).

You have to hold the Spin button to use the blaster on the mech sections. They could have assigned it to the same button as the Bazooka, but that's not how it works

There’s a Wumpa trick you can do at the start of Avalanche, but it’s RNG based. Basically you have to spin the third or fourth one and pray it snipes the clock to save a few seconds.

Again, when you can, try level 1 to 20 time trial without spd boost power up. It’s possible.

Hey Lewis, i just wanted to ask you about the controls you use in ctr are you using the D pad or the analog. I heard you remapping the buttons, i just wanted to ask you about it bc i am so bad at U turn. also i play on xbox i didn't used to play with the D pad.
