Thanks for braving the cold autumn night to demonstrate the beam shots of both flashlights! 🔦👍🏼 The Brightison, in my personal opinion would be the better one as a general purpose light as the floody spread makes it more useful for walking outdoors and for close up illumination, like checking under the bonnet of a vehicle. The TS11 was my first thrower and I've had it for a little longer than six months. When I ordered it I made sure that I got the extension tube for the 18650 type battery. It does take the magnetic tail cap for the FC11 and FC13 but the tail cap also makes the TS11 a bit too long for my liking. The dome less SFT40 in the TS11 emitter is designed for a focused beam and perfectly matches its TIR lens optics. What I like about the SFT40 is that the 6500k version emits a pure white light, and the tint is like a cloudless afternoon sun reflected off a mirror. There's no sign of the ugly greenish hue that some SST40 LEDs are infamous for! I have three flashlights with the TIR lens technology - the TS11, Sofirn IF22A and the bigger TD01c with the regulated buck driver. At home my throwers get little use, or none at all. But when you take up the flashlight hobby, you'd want to have a few long range spotlights in your collection! 🔦🔦🔦☺️

Thanks for the knowledge. I love my TS11 but the Brightison is hard to pass up for $8. I wish the TS11 18650 tube would fit the Brightison. I tried some of my other extension tubes with no luck.

@@TorchTheNightFor just $8 a piece the Brightison light would be a Muggle's easy choice! It's far better than the generic el cheapo lights that I see night market vendors sell. I wouldn't mind having this Brightison kept in the car's glove box without worrying about it getting stolen. ☺️🔦👍🏼 Personally I prefer to buy flashlights from Wurkkos, Sofirn and Convoy and they must use either the 18650 or 21700 size cell. I found out that I can easily substitute a 21700 cell for the 18650, preferably with the adapter to prevent rattling inside the flashlight tube. So if I decide to carry one 21700 format torch with me, the spare battery that I pack doesn't need to be the same size when the smaller and lighter 18650 cell will do just fine. 🔋👍🏼 The 26650 format battery is more expensive while 14500 sized batteries have lower capacities. Not only that, I find fewer choices in less common sized lithium ion batteries. Philips also sells very inexpensive general purpose rechargeable EDC lights but they come with sealed housings. They're disposable flashlights and are not designed to have their internal battery replaced. Obviously these aren't targeted at flashlight enthusiasts, but at ordinary folk who aren't interested in LED color temps, beam profiles, sustained output, etc. ☺️

Still searching for a long tube to extend the Brightison. No luck yet.
