Wurlitzer 2700 Jukebox Problems

I used to work for a vending company in the early to late 80s and it's always interesting to see the different type of mechanisms that they have Wurlitzer had one of the mechanisms with the most intricate Parts on it but they are great jukeboxes and have wonderful sound to them when they are working properly probably the most in my opinion after working on them reliable mechanism I ever seen was for the Seeburg tormat system Ro and rock-ola also used a similar pin mechanism I owned a couple of jukeboxes myself over the years including a Wurlitzer 3800 Americana great video of demonstrating on this and hope that you get your jukebox fully working they are a lot of fun

Hello I recently picked up a. 2610. It is set on free play. When pushed down the buttons will not loc in and therefore will not make a selection. If I manually move the solenoid linkage behind the pushbuttons it will then lock in place and I can make one selection. At the end of the record playing, I am back to square one and have to do the manual tripping again for another selection. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

hi i've got the 3100 which is a later model. i had to strip the mech down jet wash it leave it to dry for a week then relubricate everything then re adjust everything,but i had burnt out coils on the c d b selections,i also had to replace the pick arm tips. lubricate the turntable. check the record as the turntable is very sensitive a bit of paper is enough to stop it. regards andi

Hi Kevin. Nice video. I have a Wurlitzer 2700 which has been working fine for years, however all of a sudden I can't make any selections - the buttons don't stay down when pushed. Any ideas where to start? I'd gladly call you out to repair it, however I'm in the UK and I fear your travel costs might be out of my budget...! Thanks for any pointers.

Hi! I have a 2204 jukebox that was restored. Suddenly, when I select a song to play such as A19, C19 plays instead. If I press D12, D23 plays. If I press C20, D5 plays and so on. I have contacted the guy who worked on it, but have not found a solution yet. Any ideas? Thank you for you help. I appreciate it!

Hello: You mention cleaning and lubricating the magazine assembly. What do you use to clean and lubricate the "pins" that the magnet raises so they will return to the down position? Thanks

Electronic grade flux solvent or brake cleaning fluid will get the grease off. But if there is any corrosion at all, it must be disassembled and polished or they will stick.

was working on a 2510 and whenever you make a selection with a 3, it always plays the 4. so if you select A3, it plays A4. B3 plays B4, and so on. all other selections work correctly. any suggestions? thanks. great info in video

It could be a problem with the selector arm being slightly out of adjustment so it's getting the next pin on the B side instead of the a side but if it is tripping the right pin some of the Wurlitzer jukeboxes had a solenoid that would shift where the gripper arm would play the air the B-side but since this is a 2700 model it would be set up slightly different but that was a problem I had with my 3800 that solenoid wasn't kicking in and it would always play the B side on my unit it ended up being a problem with the control board since I had the solid state model

I have a 1959 W model 2300 that worked for years but now won't take any selections and the buttons will stick in until you turn it off and back on, any thoughts ? Great video you made, really liked watching. thanks Jeff

Hi Jeff, sounds like the selector button assembly needs to be rebuilt. Hard to say without seeing it in person.

Hi Kevin, I just watched a few of your videos again, I think my 2300 (1959 looks like the same mech you have) just needs a good cleaning to get the buttons going again. The juke works perfect when you trigger it from the back, just the buttons won't work and they gradually started not working over a period of time. I have owned this machine some 25 years. You don't live in the St.Louis area do you? thanks JEff
