These monsters need to be sued into oblivion. I would hold the owners personally responsible. They knew the flood dangers and stayed open for business giving people a false sense of safety while dropping of their babies in their care. They essentially murdered those pets.

Easy. If you knew your home was unsafe and children could not defend themselves, would you still live there? This biz owner is toast.

CLOSE THAT DEATH-TRAP DOWN. MAKE A LAW THAT BUSINESS THAT HARBOR LIVING THINGS CANNOT BE IN ANY AREA PRONE TO FLOODING. This is just stupid and senseless. Next time it rains, the owners of the business need to be locked in a room at the same level as the dogs and we'll see what happens.

The biggest lesson is always take your pets with you during emergency evacuation or inclement weather. I can't stress that enough.

The business owner knew that the building had flooded in the recent past. Why did he have dogs crated on the floor??

Where were all the pet parents during this "extensive reporting" of the 2022 floods? This is a natural disaster where precautions were made, emergency calls were made. As the reporter said, " mother nature won this round." This is very unfortunate.
