performance issues and bugs only on phone? cuz my 8 year old pc runs it smother than Genshin and Star Rail with bare minimum requirements gtx 1060 and i5 7500 middle options,, 30-45 Fps. I run Genshin and Star Rail also on middle options and there i get alot of shutters and Fps drops from 45 to 15-25, Genshin since sumeru and Star rail since launch, lets see if Kuro can fix these Problems faster than Genshin getting 2FA( it took them 6 or 7 months)

@@PurbleSuni have a similar setup with a better CPU and i run it low at 60 fps with a little lag when i enter a new area . Overall 60 fps makes it really smooth

About the bad, I fully agree. They talk so much and throw so many new words / terms at you that you have to remember. Like, just let me pull and explore. They really need to trim the introduction so it becomes less lore heavy and it's easier to play the game. I was honestly put so much off that I was starting to get annoyed.

Yes in just 1 conversation im given 4 terms that have no meaning to me but I can't ask questions about any of it. In Genshin I know we meme Paimon but she explains things to you and break it down for you and in HSR you can ask the express crew to explain things but in WW so far 10 hours in with barely any explanation of what anything means. The MC has amnesia, its the perfect excuse to have the characters explain things to me because the MC doesn't remember it just like the trailblazer but unlike HSR they dont let you ask what the new terms mean. Like in HSR the second March mentions something like the Antimater legion you can ask and she will give you a basic explanation so you can understand the gist a bit better which WW dont try and do.

Nooo I LOVED lingyangs story. The cave switching from 2D and 3D was so well done and beautiful. I am a honkai star rail player though and so I’m used to the “yapping” and that’s one of my fav parts tbh. 😭

I don’t mind lots of dialogue as long as it’s meaningful but the yapping is bad, really dragging conversations on just for the sake of having more words. They go on and on about pointless shit, everything is so confusing and there’s so much terminology thrown at you within the first 15 mins alone my head was spinning.

As an IPad player, my only issues are crashing. I can’t even go 15 minutes without it crashing or just being very glitchy. The thing is, I know it’s not my iPad as I (used) to play Genshin impact perfectly fine on it when I played it. Same with other games. It’s just Wuthering waves, and I do have to say it kind of ruins the experience for me 😭. But I was thinking it may become because of the amount of players that would be playing considering it just came out. Plus, I did play at 6am in the morning and it was fine, until 3pm (which for my country is usually when people come back from school) it was glitchy, still is. So that may be the issue why. As for the story, I actually enjoyed it, mainly the part where scar came in, that’s where it got more interesting for me. But an issue I do have along with the glitches is the fact that the dialogue just isn’t there sometimes when characters continue talking?? They will talk with the dialogue at the bottom, but then at the last couple of words it stops. I don’t get why, but it’s kind of annoying, I do hope they fix that too. I agree with most of your points expect the story, but we all have opinions:) (I haven’t bothered to read through this so there may be mistakes)

Have the same issue, the ping is bad, have to use VPN. I think it might be an iPad issue, the dialogue thing. But I don’t know if Kuro actually knows about it or not. Anyways the side quests are too numbing to care haha. I only enjoy dialogues in Honkai I guess.

7:03 I think this is attention, comprehension, and preference issue. I understood everything exactly because the game explains it well either directly through NPCs or indirectly through context clues and overworld lore. Even the pangu terminal was explained. The reverberation of echoes. The waveworn phenomenas like tacet fields and retroact rain. The sentinels of huanglong. The number of cities. Even the couriers and departments in Mortefi's lab. I honestly find it surprising when people say they yap things that doesn't make sense. Or make you do things that doesn't matter. But to me, they do make sense and quite easy to understand. Like bro, english is my third language yet I have no issue understanding the story and the world. I think what people hate is the expository writing. I think people want animation or cutscenes and not just dialogue. People most likely don't like listening eithout moving their characters. As thry say, Show not tell. But to me, they actually did implement such on certain cases. What I meant is they showed us what and how terminals work during the very first scene. Key word on "some cases." I honestly think people just have very short attention span. But calling the writing bad because us players didn't pay attention is very disingenuous. For instance, the yapfest that is aranara, while becoming a meme, has intention. Same here, the yapfest with Jinhsi has intention and everything said sets up the pace and builds the world. Now, saying that it's the game's job to capture your attention is valid. People would even say that they want instant gratification like the very first chapter in Nikke. That's fair, but that doesnt necessarily make the writing great. It's just that you feel it's great because the climax was given fast. I've read novels similar to how WW presents it's story, that is, slow and meandering then it ramps up. I've also ready writing with instant gratification like HSR and Nikke, that is, paced faster and satisfying players early on. It's really just a matter of writing preference. I like both but based on what I've read and played, I find to like slow and steady writing more memorable. Rinds me of Neil Gaiman's American Gods. It's slow and meandering but ramps up. Take Warframe for example. I won't spoil it, but when I invested some time, "that" moment became one of my most memorable gaming moments. Maybe it's because I'm used to reading novels and playing games with great visual novels both that are fast paced and those slow and meandering like PGR or HI3. I have some issues though like the rushed fetch quests on the camp with jianxin making as feel like as if we did more than just talk to the patients. There are some issues on dialogue options as well for the NPCs. The voice direction and some animation. Other than that, I'm invested to the lore and the story. Just the same way we fished Paimon out of the water. But please, I feel like Kuro might oisten to most people and bring a Yapping paimon. Please no.

Agree with the "bad" part so much. Finished the first chapter and I can't go on anymore, but since you said the later chapter will be better, then I will try to continue playing the main story. It seems the dev didn't consider global market that much since they don't bother explaining the chinese term and mumbo-jumbo term, I am curious if the Chinese player has the same problem with the mumbo-jumbo term being thrown at them relentlessly at the start. I will give leniency to the "ugly" part since it is the first time they released a big game like this.

I would like Hoyo to have some competition, but this ain't it. For how much ToF got criticized, it at least set itself apart from Genshin by having enough differences to at least make it worthwhile for me to explore, however long that lasted. This is just a harder Genshin with way less polish. I already play Genshin, I don't need another Genshin. I'm looking for something more different like Arknights Endfield and possibly Azur Promilia seem to be.

I played about 90 minutes of WW and had maybe 10-15 minutes of meaningful gameplay. I heard 20+ Chinese proper nouns and got tossed into an open world where I was expected to follow the icon to the next setpiece. I might try it again in the future because the combat was fun, but right now it just feels like a massive time waste.

Does anyone else also experience strong headache/ nausea. Sometimes the camera feels so wobbly. I never experienced this in Genshin. Also the camera sensitivity is annoying I’m on mobile and already have it at max but it still takes so long to rotate the camera in a fight

Turning off anti-alias has helpped the lag significantly but rhe optimization still needs working badly. I'm still stuttering but at least I'm no longer lagging even at medium graphics eith 45 fps and toned down shadowing

This is the problem with Kurogames titles. It takes 10-15 hours for the story to get anywhere. But if you think things are slow and exposition-dumpy wait till you get to UL 21+ and then it suddenly go from 0-100 with things happening everywhere. Which is both a good and a bad thing - makes me wonder whether separate teams are doing the story cos man this came out of nowhere after the first few hours of snoozefest.

Can we also talk about how bosses (at least the one u need to farm for Calcharo) run or teleport outside their arena and then auto reset at full hp? Between having to refight a boss 4-5 times for the rewards of killing it once and the game yapping at me more than I can play, I'm beyond not sold on this as a long term game. ToF vibes for sure.

Have to agree with you, I am playing slow and reading story to understand what is going on, but the amount of sheer info dump they throw at you made me have to take some light breaks here and there 😂 I think people give up on it a bit too soon. It isn't the second coming of Genshin (or its killer) like a lot of people wanted, but it isn't a Tower of Fantasy level joke either. If the devs learn from what worked and what didn't on launch + fix optimization, there is a future/potential for this game. I'll give it a bit more time to cook with patches and content, but first impression wise ''I ain't fully sold/invested yet''. P.S. Removin that 50/50 might win you over a couple of players to stick around for longer *wink* *wink* 🤣🤣

I encountered two times where when I started dialogue the audio is starting but the text not appearing and I can't press anything, basically it froze. Had to restart, and it's annoying because restarting the game took minutes, compared to PGR opening the game feels really fast not even a minute.

My audio seemed broken in the English version, it was skipping some dialog when I had it on auto and it was cutting some characters off. I switched to JP and that issue was no more. I really like exploring so far but I just couldnt be bothered with the story. The second I was allowed to roam I just left.

I agree with almost all your points. I guess it's just an unpopular opinion to like the story? I dived into this game blind so I didn't check what the terms meant but had no problem understanding the terminology. (My main prob was how the subtitles are cut at the 4th line) I also liked how simple the start is. You also weren't just forced to do chores for everyone. I felt like there was pretty much a purpose to what you were gonna do and the main quest parts were more direct than usual. But then, I play PGR and am used to Kuro's writing that the payoff and buildup are really good and is obviously dialogue-heavy and lotsa reading. It isn't open world so their writing might have been based on that format that they got used to, so I get if it can be a turn off. Still, I hope people are more patient and just let them cook the story anyway. I also dunno if it's unpopular, but I'm fine with the slow start since it's like you're exploring an apocalyptic world anyway so you can take it slow. I'm not a big fan of being an amnesiac MC and then just dragged to all kind of chaotic action without understanding stuff. Anyway, that's just me.

Thats wild about the performance issues and graphic issues. I guess I've been pretty lucky because I have not had one stutter or graphical error so far. The game runs smoothly and is on ultra to high graphics. I have noticed the text ending early when reading through the story. Makes it pretty annoying and feels like I'm losing context on what is going on.

YOO new 200 mb dropped, and the game improved SOOO MUCH. Fps has gotten so much better, i was getting 40-60 now im easily getting 120 constant. Also 120 fps display is back :D Also havent gotten any crashes since the update

For everyone having a problem with stuttery feel here is a tipp. Put Camera Shake on Low Turn off Camera Reset Moving Camera Correction Combat Camera Correction Assited Aiming This really made the game feel better and smoother.

Everything looks so nice at a close distance. It looks kind of blurry with some distance and my eyes can't take that effect. I tried blum option off, no fsr, illumination, all options, and my eyes can't take more that 1 or 2h playtime without getting a headache.

At this rate I'm not sure if I want to keep playing. Optimization issues can be solved later, but the storytelling is just full-stop bad and makes you not want to care about the world and what happens later Sweetily's takes are essentially on the money because she's deeply tuned to both EN / CN communities. The CN community is eviscerating this launch but it will settle down after the 1st wave rage quit. The EN community was way too overhyped but will be in for some bitter disappointment down the line when hype dies down and the issues fester

It's not a majority, not even half of the player base, and while it's not very "hyped" about now, that's just how every game is. Launch is the peak, then it'll die down leaving the actual loyal players that actually wanted more from the game instead of player who's just testing the water

I played the game for more than 12 hours today and so far I'm having fun. Even though I have serious skill issue the game starts out forgiving enough that I can still get somewhere, which I appreciate. The exploration is not bad, though I feel like the map is a little underpopulated in places. I wanted to take a bit more time with doing story so I haven't finished the main story yet. But based on what I've seen so far I agree with what was mentioned in the video. In a way I am not actually surprised though. When you have large story rewrites as far in as CBT2, only weeks before launch, a subpar result is almost expected. Personally I did not have to deal with any major technical issues but in my friend group things like frequent crashes were common. What has been a major negative experience for me however was the text presentation. The english text on some dialogue boxes was so long it got cut off, parts of sentences got lost. I like to play with non-english VO so not being able to read everything is just unacceptable. And feel free to call me stupid but I could not figure out that you could actually scroll the text box with your mouse, after all the game makes no indication that scrolling is even an option (and it shouldn't even need to be).

TBH I liked the characters and story even if it’s not exactly Cyberpunk or Baldur’s Gate. The tone (helped by the music and visuals) fit my sensibilities. The voice I liked least was YangYang’s. But even her, it avoided the very infantile aesthetic, characters and voice acting that put me off Genshin and ToF. The characters seem like adults (or in some cases at least young adults) and there’s no Paimon or that stuttering mini-robot girl from ToF babyvoice screaming in my ear.

I heard that Kuro is hiring a new EN voice director and letting the VAs speak naturally now to make it better. Many of the VAs are British but were told to speak with US accents; I've heard the acting in their demo reels is a lot better than their acting in WuWa due to WuWa's EN having a bad voice director and such.

I have played a few hours and enjoyed them all but I think it does need some optimization and better storytelling. I don’t want to be to harsh since it is only day one and things can improve as time goes on,but I will say it isn’t the best story wise and the optimization could definitely be better. the potentialthis ame has is great,i didnt have any crashes(play on a galaxy 20 +note),the combat is the main "sale" of this game.even tho i play on a phone the combat is great!the "clanky" movements happen only when i try to run on a huge mountain and once you get used of the char movement that doesnt happen too often. the only "minus" for me(that can be a killer for players) is the borring chracter side quests that can not be skiped and go on non n on every few "steps" or mins!!i get why they would make the main story unskipable but the longside quests too?they need to fix that asap!!the lionboiz sidequest had some insanly good parts in it(side scrolling,exploring n more) but when i got there i was allready so damn borred from the multiple cutscenes i didnt enjoy eny of those parts!! i ve never played genshin impact but if anyone can tell me that it has this kind of combat(both fun n depth) without the tedious cutscenes i ld love to give it a try

I think the story needs some time to cook. I really enjoy the combat. It’s flashy, there are different things you can do. It feels and looks cool to switch out your characters. Exploration is cool because your sprint doesn’t consume stamina lol and also parkour. I would say that the jumping, gliding and grapple hook does feel stiff though. There are optimization issues and the 100+ ping playing on the west coast sucks lol.

About the ugly, i'm honestly going to point it out. Crashing is a thing that happens in every game, even popular games like genshin at time and i'm not just talking about "small crashes", i'm talking about not being able to play the game at all. It's a new game, i dont know why everyone is expecting it to be "perfect", i'd give it 2 or 3 more months for everything to be consistent and "good".

Agree with most of your points. Small note about the pull system: I only got two 4* characters in my 50 pulls on the beginner banner and 4* weapons several 10 pulls in a row. In contrast to Genshin and HSR there doesn’t seem to be a pity system on 4* characters weapons vs characters? Don’t know if that’s true for the event banners as well, I did get quite some characters on the limited banner.

My biggest problem is the mandatory level to unlock main story. LET ME PLAY THE MAIN STORY. I do not care to side quest, it's wasted time and locking people to daily limits softly if you dont wanna do side quests. When I tried to power through on side quests for XP the first time you had to go from where you are like lvl 10 to 14 to get what was a very short chapter, I spent more time getting those 4 levels with the character side story (the jingle beast one) from how much unskippable dialogue there was in that (plus a really long dungeon) only to get a short puzzle dungeon into a single boss fight (albeit a really cool boss fight) but more of that dialogue was skippable than the first. Now they want me to get a bunch more levels again. Feels demotivating. I'll power through it cause I like the gameplay but it really burnt me out. I can't believe you power through that and finished the entire story. Idk man I dont understand what benefit there is to do those level locks, I get it for the first one if there is a side story they want to be mandatory, or if it's to force you to use all the new mechanics but after that level 10 - 14 one even when I did all the side mechanics first time unlocked+side story I still had to do random mini-side quests to get the last bit of XP. Feels redundant and only fuels the fire on the problems of retention for these types of games when it's all manual. Easy for a game like HSR to do it since it has auto fights being turned based but ya.

Level locks are there to force you to increase your playtime by making you do side content. It essentially forced you to spread your gameplay across multiple sessions. And that's what game companies want since it keeps the playerbase "engaged" for a longer period of time. And then they can look at their statistics and say to investors "Look how long our players are playing! They're really enjoying the game!" Its a business practice at the end of the day. It sucks ass I agree though.

Who cares how long a non-paying customer plays. Even paying customers who cares if they play 5 hours or 5 minutes? If they still pay either way it doesnt matter. I wanna know how many we bring in, keep overall and transform into paying cash cows. So I see no actual incentive. But atlast, the people who have the millions to invest into these projects probably are not as versed at knowing what stats actually matter to look at to decide if a project in a success I guess would be the main argument to my logic.

The first "free" 5* standard character is literally random and with my lucky I got the character that I literally liked the least even hate. Now I need 80 more pulls and rerolling isn't a thing because of the drag of a Intro. Now I need to literally play the whole game to get a character I like and at that time I will be done with the whole content. Had a better start with genshin rerolling.

The story makes no sense. Feels like the MSQ is just a huge chore with no real direction. The flow of the game got broken way too early. I finished part of the MSQ at Union 9 and it wouldn't continue till Union 14. HSR/Genshit didn't do this till way later in the game. Genshit didn't break the MSQ for me till Liyue on launch and HSR didn't do it till later parts of Belobog. The combat is fun but feels very limited at the start; almost nothing is unlocked till higher Union levels. The localization is 100% rushed. They didn't even check their coding for the monkey boss description, literally has HTML and left in the description. Thought the game would be too rushed releasing this early after CB2 and it turns it to be 100% correct. Guess they didn't want to compete with ZZZ in July. Only upside to Wuwa right now is the exploration. The environment looks amazing even on my ghetto 1660 super. Wall running, air dashing, and grappling are all amazing and feels very smooth besides the occasional hiccup of not parkouring over a minor obstable when wall running up. This game will sadly need a few months for it catch up to the quality of a Hoyo game.

Totally agree with the story, too much info dump from the act 1 only. If we compare it to GI 1.0 the story are much easier to follow. We start with smaller scale conflict then as the journey continue the story start to expand but not at rapid pace either. I hope it got better later, such a waste if this game failed.

I did not experience any problems with performance on my pc somehow , no crashes either. The sound problem is real and story is kinda boring indeed. I don't like the %50 gacha system , also would prefer having the choice banner first with that discounted price. Hell i'm down if they even removed the random one. I got Encore to just sit in bench while im still playing with 4 stars. That was a huge disappointment. Yeah i will get Calcharo in the end but that's like literally "in the end". 80 summons are no joke especially if you are f2p. Cuz you gotta let go of the Limited Banners in order to get that 5* anywhere near mid game. So far the combat is carrying the game hard for me , i absolutely love the combat. I think people who complain about combat are very sus or they just have to get gud.
