Hey, I'm not too sure you're aware of it since you didn't mention it in the video, but you can animation cancel Cloudy Frenzy by swapping characters. All you have to do is start the animation then switch, it will be completed "in the background". The same is true for almost all of her other attacks, even her E. You might not have mentioned it just because this video focuses on her in isolation, but just in case, I thought you should know! Doing Cloudy Frenzy before switching off Encore is probably my favorite thing about her and makes her a lot stronger in my opinion.

Her skill is also special. You can start it, swap to another char and do something as it pew pews, then come back to her before the end to do tje big explosion.

Yeah, her charge attack and control loss is damage gain if you do the quickswap rotation during it.

also to note: you can switch out in the middle of her empowered charge attack (even in ulti) and she will stay on field and continue the cast, so if you wanna switch you can use the charge and switch out and let her do the attack as you dps with someone else.

I had no idea that she could be animation cancelled like this, and she feels so much more smooth to play now :))) This was such a helpful guide, I can't thank you enough :) But anyway, I'm wondering if you could test a combo for me? I'm trying to figure out how to maximize her DPS during her R, and I think I figured out a combo that someone in the CN community posted. I'd like to see the numbers on that, if possible. Here's what I observed: R --> 4A/E cancel --> 4A/Dash cancel --> 4A/E cancel --> Hold Atk. I'd appreciate any feedback you have!

I'm glad the video was helpful !! As for her Rave DPS... you can get 3 Es off if you use one right at the start, though the combo is actually a bit faster than the autoattack, so you can do R -> E -> 4A -> Dodge -> 1A -> E -> 4A -> Dodge -> 1A -> E -> Hold, though the timing can be a bit strict and of course, sometimes you have to dodge, so it can vary at times ... ! Squeezing a heavy in the short window before the subsequent E casts is also technically higher DPS but that assumes you somehow don't have maxed out Dissonance, as if you do, you'd completely brick the entire rotation by getting a headache in the middle of rave haha....

0:45 Looks like you made a typo here. Damage values part 4 should be 19.25%, not 219.25%. Also about Cosmic rave, you'll want to be weaving your skill (Cosmos rampage) before starting a combo or in between every N4 (the cooldown coincides with the combo duration), so I don't think you'll be getting much value out of dodge cancelling N4 in terms of dps. It's nice to know about the dps of the quicker combos that could be used for shorter openings where the window for the optimal combo isn't long enough. I guess my biggest issue with Encore is a lot of her stronger combos (both in and out of cosmic rave) require rather long uptime and that's difficult in actual gameplay. It also doesn't help that her normal attacks are inconsistent at parrying outside of Cosmic rave or echoes. It's quite a learning curve that I'm still getting used to. Other than that, good video! Glad to see you're number crunching for WuWa. Hope to see similar vids for other characters

May I ask what does MV/S mean on the tables? Also does skill cancelling work during Cosmos: Rave in the last hit of the combo?

Motion Value / second, typically a term used by... I think, Genshin communities? To describe the raw damage % value in the tooltips, so MV/s is basically how much raw damage % you're doing per second based on the animation time of the skill. And yes, you can skill cancel in Cosmos Rave, though the skill is a little longer CD than the 4-hit combo, but it's still useful tech for those times where the combo is delayed for times like when you had to dodge!

It's basic attack damage! Only Cloudy Frenzy / Cosmos Rupture count as Resonance Liberation damage~

Why does dodge cancelling the last hit in basic combo (5th hit? I don't have her currently)? Does it trigger another attack? I would think you'd want to let the whole attack finish so I'm curious

The last hit has a lengthy animation time, but the attack is finalized as soon as the animation begins, so instead of waiting out the entire animation, you can just dodge and start a new combo much sooner than if you let it play out~
