Wuwa is my main game, but tbh I'm skeptical after the last clown show of you all talking about how hoyo cc's were outright banned from playing WuWa around it's release time. Basically what I got: 1. From Ryuuku Sensei's translation of Nerumero's video, which mentioned Hoyo's demands to their CCs, Hoyo: Do not play/stream other games as our contracted CC, only Genshin is allowed! "Mistreating" one of their biggest CCs. 2. From Tectone's info of Kurogames' contract terms (By which he mentioned he cannot legally(?) lie about) Kuro: Do not talk negatively about other games as our contracted CC (Not sure if limited to Genshin or ALL games) If this is true, it's pretty darn easy to decide which company respects their game, CCs, and the gaming community more and is more worthy of player's time and support. But honestly, I play Wuwa simply just because it provides a way better gameplay experience to me. And having chad devs does makes everything feel even better.

The lore and characters are goated but the storytelling and quality of life changes kind of suck (For people who can't tell the difference between story and storytelling. Storytelling is how the story is told, not the story itself. Bloated dialog and long un-skippable cutscenes are examples of this, to extend the time players spend in the game.)

Genshin doesn't have a good track record here. The 1st Anniversary debacle...? That wasn't caused just from the poor rewards. That was an entire build-up from ignoring player feedback that ended up cascading down when they gave minimal rewards despite record earnings. Then they went the censorship route when people did review bombing, with locked scores that stopped changing and restricted posting requirements -- this is why Google got review bombs all over the place, and why you had stuff like Google Classroom getting review bombs as well because Google themselves decided to stick themselves into the mess by enforcing the censorship. And you have news outlets twisting the narrative by showing how 'unhinged' Genshin players were when there was quite a lot of justification behind the actions (though not all of them were truly/fully justified, but that is another matter). I don't believe there was one that really covered the full story with what was going on behind the scenes. And the reason why all of that stopped wasn't because they gave more rewards... it was because they FINALLY posted that they were willing to negotiate and try listening for once - by buffing Zhongli, who was one of the biggest complaints by the CN community that the Global community also had some complaints on for how undertuned he was and massively nerfed on release compared to the test server There is already plenty to hate on Genshin for. The question is... is there enough to hate on the entire Hoyosphere for. If not, then Hoyo needs to step up and rein in their problem child. Otherwise the entire thing is simply going to have to be considered dead to me

True, I play wuwa for 6 months without really engaging in depth with genshin/wuwa dramas cuz it just goes in a loop with kids yapping about this game and that game is better. I do appreciates, however, of those that give actual critics and ideas / solutions of their perspective/thoughts about the game like one of the comments I saw that wrote a long comment talking about how plain wuwa story is from their experience comparing to how they feel towards genshin story. I do agree/understand w/ their intake and critics wanting wuwa to improve more in areas they feels lacking. I can understand why Genshin and Hoyo would be extra selective on which Content Creators to allow into Early Access and Content Creator programs, but... I would need more details on each situation to really judge. Eg. Leaks issues should be a big one with how many problems have occurred in the past Now. That isn't saying there isn't enough fuel to hate on Genshin... because there's plenty already from the past with the entire debacle of their First Anniversary. You know, they decided to have media portray their playerbase as unhinged and greedy brats, right...? And they never bothered clarifying anything? That the entire thing WASN'T from just the anniversary rewards being pitifully small despite record earnings...? It was because they *DIDN'T LISTEN TO THEIR PLAYERBASE* and refused to communicate properly back then. Basically straight up ignored feedback back then The entire thing got out of hand because when players decided to review bomb the game, Genshin decided to fight back by using CENSORSHIP. Instead of Google just getting rid of review bombs and fighting it the tedious old method that is just a losing battle, they went FULL-ON with LOCKING the score so it couldn't drop, *and* they restricted the review section so you couldn't post unless certain conditions were met. Which was on top of the usual deletion of negative reviews, some of which were genuine negative reviews people were rating at 1* and not spammed copypasta 1* reviews. THIS, was why all of those other applications ended up getting reviewbombs instead. Because Google decided to stick their head into the situation and crossed a few lines that should never have been crossed. And it wasn't just Google that went along with the censorship either, as other platforms were also in on censoring any review bombs with similar tactics What stopped the whole reviewbomb situation...? It wasn't the increase rewards during that anniversary for sure -- they got memed on harder with the 'herald of unmet desires' of Qiqi Fallen. No, the thing that finally ended the entire thing was the developers stating that they were going to review a specific character's kit that a large part of the community was complaining about being extremely undertuned, then finally deciding that they were going to buff him. Yes, that was Zhongli, and that was the major center of many complaints, with one of them being that he was considerably nerfed going from test server to release - so much that he was straight up considered a bad unit and practically useless unless you sucked at the game. And that was definitely NOT the only complaint, with Resin issue and Artifact grinding being some of the other big ones. ZL buff ended the review bombing, but that was only a temporary truce of "we'll see what you do next before we decide whether we can actually forgive you or not" rather than a 'we accept your apology' sort of deal. You can judge how they did after that for yourself with whether they've changed much at all with everything else in regards to QoL I... am going to see how this plays out a bit first. But this would be enough for me to consider quitting all of their games permanently if there is further evidence regarding the situation, especially if they don't make proper amends

The situation would be similar to Disney not contracting porno actors. So, Hoyoverse won't work with voice actors that work on project that are kinda classified as adult or soft porno. I may not play WuWa (I play hsr after quitting genshin thanks to the whole 4.4 lantern rite drama after realizong the devs don't exactly care about the game anymore-I played both games for a year and I think you can guess which account is wayyy better), but this is dissappointing. Hoyo is desperate for their cash cow and will do anything to make sure people will continue to play that game alone. I can't believe they’d go this far yet at the same time...its them. I dont think I'll play wuwa because one gacha game for me is more than enough, but for everyone who does, have fun and stay winning!
