Lumi says the lollo motto of "we promise we deliver". True, because guess what Lumi? You're about to deliver some resonator babies. GODDAMN GIRL. I understand that it may be in only this mode, but the fact that it's here in a 1.x version tells me we can expect some potentially really cool things to be added in future versions! The combat lacks depth according to some and this could alleviate that problem a bit. This seems to be a more fully realized implementation of the Cerberus link, so that signals to me there could be many other cool things they've tested out that could be added to the game. From cool boss mechanics, to special parries, or even that monster hunter mode I keep bringing up. They have a lot of things to play with! What do you think?

I'd definitely like to see more of the factions in the game. The story has been Rover centric and I'm not complaining, like, MC do be MCing, yknow? But I'd like to know more about the Midnight Rangers, the Patroller, etc

Yeah definitely would like to see more about what the Huaxu Academy studies and how they do it, or where even the Ghost Hounds even are. There's still a lot to know about the Black Shores too even after talking to people there. Guess we'll just have to wait, but at least I can wait while being excited!

I had very similar thoughts, but I've heard take that it might simplify the game, being too overpowered and replacing swap-techniques 🤔 Now I can see it could be both, but I'm much more inclined to expect it to be a positive addition, with a good potential for more complexity. Thing is - from what we see characters do intro attacks and skill cast. Now question - does it replace standard rotation, does it consume concerto energy, make skills go on cool-down?... Even then, it might be new interesting gameplay for this 'permanent event'. But if we want something more serious, it should be just on top of normal gameplay. In Illusive Realm we were getting such mechanics, like - ability to cast liberation twice, additional ways to trigger intro / echo. So my first thoughts were that it's something like this. So what that we see intro + skill attacks? They might not consume concerto energy, but just being extra move triggered by some specific requirements. Nice point about possible special faction / region attacks. I would add that maybe it could be even more specific - combining various attacks in the synergistic way. There is something like that in Chrono Trigger, from what I know. Like one character has spinning attack, other - fire attack, you get -> spinning fire. Just a thought, in the end most of speculations and guesses have to be missed, only small part of possibilities can become reality. I would also remind about finishing attacks - spectro Rover all the time can trigger them when fighting Crownless and Scar. It's another potential mechanic that could be not only cool but even expand the gameplay, like triggered by special combo, etc. As for looking at it in general - not everything might turn out to be great and good that things are being tested in events, but most important - that Kuro is cooking. Yes, WuWa needs more mechanics than just dodging, parrying and adding more characters with unique move sets to stay interesting in the long run. A small remark - I wouldn't say that WuWa's combat lacks depth. It has very impressive depth in movement, swap mechanics, energy and complex kits. It's waaay beyond casual gaming if exploring it seriously. To be more precise - WuWa lacks complexity and variety of general combat system. There's more need to expand to make it broader, than going deeper.
