From the way that I understand it... The video was showcasing Roccia doing mock.performances (thus the lion king reference). That was her troupe from the past with her. The creepy paintings represent the Order cracking down and sending them on the pilgrim sail to the island. The part with the disappearing and fading away.. that's the fate of most of her troupe as their frequencies converge into those stones. She collects them to remember their memory. Roccia was also in danger of fading away herself but was saved by Pero. Her fighting back against the TDs is a step towards joining Brant and the troupe of Fools later on.

After playing the actual story now, I can honestly say I am disappointed by the balancing act the Drip Marketing is doing vs. the story. I really wouldn't get your hopes up guys. It just felt really short compared to carlotta, and really disorganized of where to put the focus, and no new painting echoes either.

Because we already met Roccia and this companion quest encapsulates what the fools troupe actually goes through and their struggles, we learn about Roccia a bit more towards end but we already learn a lot on her in act 3 main story, that difference between Carlotta and Roccia, we learn more on Roccia in main story than her companion quest, and we don't learn much on Carlotta much in main story just some info here and there on Carlotta, but carlotta companion quest expands on that from main story
