Here's what happened: They wanted us to join. We wanted equipment. They said too much. Soviets win war and want the Turkish straits. The allies agree on giving the soviets control of the straits. Then Türkiye pulls a UNO reverse card and declares war on Germany and Japan. So the soviets or Russians don't have control over our straits. We played smart.

Turkish leader in Ww2 was İsmet İnönü. When the allies offered Turkey to join the war, İnönü said "Turkey needs a lot of army and war supplies. If you can support them to our army, we'll join the war." Allies saw the needs of Turkey, then they didnt offer to Turkey to join the war. Turkey couldn't ally with Nazis because of the Soviets and they couldn't ally with Soviets because of Nazis. At the end of the war Turkey saw Nazis are becoming less powerful then İnönü declared war to Nazis. We did not fight so much. So we didn't take any territory. But there were some army at borders to protect the country from any attack. Because of bad sources, many army men died.
