Hallo, schöne Arbeit hast Du da geleistet. Ich finde es gut dass du den Griff nur "kurz" bearbeitet hast. Was für ein Schleifset benutzt Du? Hello, you did a great job there. I think it's good that you only edited the handle "briefly". What kind of sharpening set do you use?
@Atelier12D2 жыл бұрын

Beautiful job! That beer was well deserved! You brought a piece of history back to life! You mentioned this was a boot knife; did the blade come with a sheath originally? Do you plan to make one for it? It looks like the day it was first issued...Good job! Subbed...

Now I'm worried that the rust remover got under the scales and somehow will rot them from the inside(((( what oil did you use with honing stones? and how thick is the blade, 5 mm?
@Atelier12D2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment! 👍👍👍 I use a mild rust remover solution, so there will be no problems. During sharpening I use oil for precision mechanics, you can buy it at any bike shop 😊. The thickness of the knife blade is 3-4 mm.

Thank you very much for your comment! 👍 in order to remove corrosion in deep sinks, I use chemistry, and on the grinder, I removed only the minimum top layer of metal. If you do not use chemistry, then the knife will rust very quickly.
@milanradak2692 жыл бұрын
It's a shame that the blade has so many deep pits
@Atelier12D2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, I could not remove deep corrosion, as this would affect the thickness of the blade. But this is not scary, since this knife has a history and I did not have a goal to erase it.

That is about the most ugly knife I think I’ve ever seen. The design maybe highly functional but it’s really fricking ugly. Yea, I know. It was cheap and fast to make. And it was made for killing. About any blade will do that.
