That was a really beautiful outcome. You saved so much of it and that's what I love to see in a restoration. So many people on KZbin think that restoring something means replacing everything with new or remanufactured parts. The whole idea is saving what can be saved and you seem to do that really really well. That's why I thoroughly enjoy your stuff. A+ !

Trench warfare was WW I. Combat knives for hand to hand fighting were common in WW II

Leaving the pitting in the fuller is a great choice. Not everything has to be mirror-polished. If I want something that looks new I'll buy something new.

When I saw the thumbnail of this video a few days ago, I just thought to myself, "Eh, it's just another knife... I'll pass". Today, I decided to check it out after all and I noticed immediately that it is NOT just another knife... not to the owner. This is so cool!

That was probably a Bowie at one point and the owner made it a nice small knife when he broke the blade.

Different. TysyTube is French, he's definitely American. While they do some similar restorations they are very different in terms of video structure etc.
