It is absolutely mind blowing that nearly 80 years after WWII ended there’s still commercial quantities of ammo around 🤯

I'd love to know the story about these. The cardboard is like new. Was this sitting in someone's attic for all these years? Or capture ammo that was finally sold by a government?

There a bunch of WW2 era 8mm Mauser around still mainly German and Yugoslavian, there’s a lot of 7.62x54r from that era still around to from a lot of the Soviet Union nations.

Sam Cummings of Interarms bought 25,000,000 rounds of ammo just from Spain. There were literal tons of ammo imported

The absurd quantity of ammo produced prior and during ww2 will sat around for quite some time, gradually turning from good to “fuck around and find out”. Theoretically, if manufactured and stored correctly, most ammo is in almost pristine condition. There’s a shitton of conflicts going on in the world, you can be sure they’re fueled by ammo older that your parents.

It's so mind blowing that I simply don't believe this is original Nazi-German ammo in its original cardboard packaging with original stickers...

Last month I picked up some 1938 nazi marked 8mm ammo, on clips, in the original boxes. I got 3 boxes of 10 rounds each, I believe. I don't even have anything to shoot them, I just got them for the historical value. I got it at a local flea market. The price was also very fair.

I’m surprised it didn’t come on stripper clips. The WW2 era ammo I bought did. Even the Nazi marked Styre 8x56R I bought came on clips.

Would love to have more ammo for my Mauser rifle but 8mm is hard to find an if you can find it it's in bulk size an out of my budget I can only imagine the price of this collector ammo

They are awful in the US too.. For a perfect 95 percent rated firearm with a 100 percent bore that looks like it was made yesterday people are spending 4 to 5 thousand dollars.. Now if you have the same mint Mauser and it is all numbers matching I've seen people pay 6 to 9 thousand, it's nuts.. I started collecting when mosin 91 30s were still $75 and built a huge collection .. Well life got in the way and I was unable to have the time for my collection with me working every hour of sunlight every day 12 hours daily 84 hours a week .. I did finally get back into collecting to just get a few rifles on my bucket list to round out my collection .. I was absolutely shocked prices on everything went up x10 !! I thought it was just some morons thinking their rifle is Soo much more special then others and putting these off the wall prices on these rifles.. Turns out everywhere I looked at,,,, everything was basically worth 10 times more than it was when I took a break from collecting.. So I will never get those bucket list guns bc I refuse to pay the crazy prices.. The kicker is that other people were buying them up as if it were normal .. I thought to myself what the heck are they thinking?? So because people are willing to pay those prices, the firearms are touted as basically worth that much because they have sold before for the same high price.. I feel bad for the kids that can't even get a starter rifle like the mosin 91-30 for less then 700$ and the conditions those rifles are in makes them junk in my mind. $ 700 for a terrible looking completely shot out and bore pitted worse then swiss cheese .. Collecting surplus is pretty much dead for most people .. The prices are just too insain to even think about buying something .

@@justinjacobs5777 I got mine in a trade. I traded a $500 optic for mine lol. It's all matching except the stock. It is a Russian capture but still has all the emblems. And the bore is great! I love it, it's in great condition.

I've bought plenty of this ammo, and yes it's corrosive. But don't let that prevent you from buying some if you were interested. Corrosive cleaning isn't hard, just different than you might be used to. Plenty of guides here on YT on how to do it properly.

@hardlylivin6602 yeah. Hoppes bore cleaner or boiling water. Thats all i have used in my Yugo since 2001 and the bore is shiny clean. Thousands of corrosive rounds in it with zero problems. Just clean the rifle
