WW2 M10 Wolverine - Color footage.

I had to re-upload this video because it was hit with 'Limited adds' and eventually shadow banned. But why Limited adds.? I think it's because KZbin has placed this channel on alert and is deliberately hitting these videos before it's even done uploading yet. What does Limited adds mean? It means that it will not get the views it would normally get and the video will fall out off KZbin's algorithm. Most of the time it will get adds back after review, sadly that's not working anymore. So i'm getting demonetized without breaking the KZbin guidelines. As a result my channel has been slowly dying and I really have no motivation to make any new videos and probably aren't going to anytime soon. Also most of the extra information in the comments, I always implemented is gone, just to not piss off the broken YT Bots even more.

These were basically shoot and scoot vehicles or tank destroyers as they're more commonly known. Lightly armoured and very fast. The idea was to shoot first and then run like hell before the enemy could get a bead on you. Well that was the theory. How it actually went on the battlefield was usually completely different.

As I understand it, the M10 Wolverine was a popular tank. The open turret provided good all-round visibility on the battlefield.

@@paulh.5691 Yeah, should have written tank-destroyer. And yes, a closed turret is a lot safer.

@@mikaelwiberg2938 Well sure but it also means alot less protection. I think they had really thin armor up top too. I might be wrong though. Honestly I thought the M10 and the hell cat were one vehicle. I don't know very much about allied armor.

Crews would actually fit a improvised plate over the turret which made it possible to look out and spot enemy vehicles and protect from artillery. Artillery was the main M10 killer. One documented story goes as followed, that a driver lost 3 times it's crew because of artillery and the commanding officer told him to never mention this ever, because nobody would ride with him ever.

Different chassis, same gun(ish), Wolverine is M4 based, Hellcat is its own chassis. Hellcat is lower and smaller in profile, M10 is sherman large and just as fast.
