I was in wwe smackdown in Jeddah yesterday! It was genuinely was different than the greatest royal rumble and supershowdown (which I both attended). These two events had whatever matches but it was still hype seeing my childhood heroes! But smackdown had an amazing crowd! Half the stadium singing voices and kingdom was genuinely one of the best experiences of my life. Half the crowd was sorta dead but I feel like if they were all chanting then it would have been better than the backlash crowd! (seeing Goldberg and undertaker kill each other was genuinely depressing)

As a Saudi, the subtle bigotry is astonishing. “The rich Saudi crowed just wanted to take pictures for their stories” were not all rich, and crowds taking pics on their phones is not unique to Saudi. This happens everywhere. “The Saudis wanting … the Saudis wanted… the Saudis brought…” what’s up with the collective referencing? Sounds like someone saying “the blacks”. It’s the promoters and the people in charge of the entertainment industry, which is Turki AlSheikh and his team. It’s like 3-4 people, why do you keep saying “the Saudis” as if we move in a collective unit like robots. Just shows your ignorance and preconception of Saudi.
