WWE Armageddon 2008 PPV Review

I thought this was a good show. Some attractive matches but I do share similar feelings that I had for 07. My biggest issue with this show is Jeff winning the belt too late. It reminded me of Samoa Joe finally winning the belt at lockdown. To me he was ready at the rumble. You had Cena & Hardy in a dream match right there for WM 24 not anticipating the suspension of course. Pro Wrestling has this problem where they drag it out assuming the moment will come better later. They luck up with Cody so I'll give them that one. When the guy's ready it doesn't require the slowburn push. Brock in 02, Eddie in 04. Jeff was definitely about to past Cena as the biggest star in wrestling if he didn't leave. He was so over. Similar to kurt I think Vince held it against jeff for leaving for TNA again. They didn't push him no where near as hard as they did in 08, 09. He was just kinda there.

I was kind of out of the loop during the fall of 2008 but it seems like the biggest gripe here was that not a lot of people ordered the show and were pissed that this is where Jeff finally won the belt. I think Jeff probably would have gotten his moment at Wrestlemania 24 in some form or fashion but I think he got suspended for that show. I just think the bigger botch is the usage of Jeff for Wrestlemania 25.

@@SandersRobin24 Don't get me started on WM 25. Probably the most frustrating mania I live through. Cena, Orton, HHH, HBK, Taker, Jericho, Mysterio, Jeff Hardy, Christian, Edge, Punk, Morrison, JBL, Beth Phoenix, Melina, Mickie James, Legacy. How do fumble that mania with this talent available smh. I'll never understand.
