The beginning of Samoa Joe vs Reigns started so strong too. Especially considering how the match ended up being, I'm more of the mindset that the ppv should have just ended with Joe laying out Reigns and the match never starting. It would've been a good way to end it and it would have served as Joe sending a strong message to the champions and the "2 time failure" Reigns. Plus, the ppv would have ended at a reasonable time...

The Fizzle is really what gets me. Seriously...if Vince McMahon would just suck it up and allow managers with the quality of guys like Bobby Heenan, Freddie Blassie, The Grand Wizard, Lou Albano, Paul Ellering, etc. etc., that's the one thing Roman needs the most, a badass manager getting him all fired up. But Vince McMahon is a stubborn control freak so he'll just keep missing out on golden opportunities to enhance his talent.

Well people we have a Japanese WRESTLING company that has been pretty consistent & alot of good matches for a while now called NJPW. If you haven't caught on yet, now is a good time. NJPW is way, & I mean way more consistent product than WWE. You can watch both WWE & NJPW if you like, but NJPW is a more satisfying wrestling product. NJPW is not perfect, but you get tons of good wrestling & stories that make sense.

You absolutely can turn him heel, there's one problem with it though: this is a Vince McMahon project. And in case decades of wrestling hasn't make it clear enough, Vince McMahon HATES losing. Vince McMahon HATES being wrong. And at least he has no other choice, unless he can't find any excuse and not admitting defeat will lead to a disaster, he won't give up....and this is not XFL, nor is it WWE during the MNWs, back then he has no choice, if the product didn't work he had to change it, nowdays he doesn't have to because people keep watching. AND he has John Cena's precedent in his mind. Cena eventually got over and eventually, even though he was green at the start, with time and effort he developed into a very good wrestler with a great following. He probably believes he will make Reigns succeed like Cena did. Good luck changing his mind.

Seth Rollins is The Man and the face of WWE imo. Banks vs Riott was better than Bayley vs Riott and both Women Title matches tonight. Nakamura/AJ has lost my interest. Nothing impressive about Lashley. WWE needs to turn Reigns heel or take him off TV for a bit because CM Punk chants and people leaving in these main events is not a good look. WWE is creatively bankrupt.

Worst finish that I can remember was the triple threat match between Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose, and Brock Lesnar. Dean best the shot out of Roman with the chair, started beating Brock with the chair, turns around and gets hit with the spear for Roman to win.

Since WWE has changed it's rules to protect wrestlers and changed to a PG rating it's been getting worse. There's no point in having a no DQ match, if there's barely any chairs or tables involved. The Styles and Nakamura match was a huge let down. The best match of the night was the Rollins and Miz match.

Big Cass shouldn't have tapped out or if he has to have Daniel Bryan get him in a kneebar then Big Cass can tap, he can say i wasn't going to risk being out for another nine months for a match that meant nothing but i walked out. Nakamura and Styles was what Mania should've been minus the finish, they could've done something where they leave ringside and do something where both are dead can't get back to the ring.

Triple H doesn't have nearly as much pull on the main roster shows as he does in NXT (and 205 Live now). He isn't perfect, but he did make NXT into what it is, business seems to be picking up for 205 Live as well and perhaps, if he does take over from Vince, maybe shit will get better on the main roster too. With that being said, he will have to wait until Vince croaks to even have the chance at getting the keys. My suspicion is that Vince's little princess Steph will be the heir apparent, not Triple H (who may get a bit more creative control than he does now under Vince's regime).

When the ppv prices went from $50 to less than $10, what did you expect? The old adage is you get what you pay for. Because the ppv's cost so little now, people don't get as upset when a show isn't spectacular, but the issue is that the shows are generally shit. I remember buying MitB 2013 and it was a generally good show and felt my $50 was well spent, which is more than I can say about WM29. I don't expect MitB 2018 to be better than it was 5 years ago, but for $10, how can I complain?

Don Burrito MitB 2011 was the best ppv WWE had produced since Wrestlemania 25, its greatest isn't even a question, but my point is overall, ppv's from before the Network was created to the ppv's that have been streamed on the Network, the difference in quality is night and day. PPV's are not as good as they were just 5 years ago.

Don B, the issue is that while there have been some great ppv's, they're rare and the usual result with ppv's now is that they're just meh. Meh should not be a WWE ppv, not when in years past the ppv's were actually really good. The formula with WWE ppv's now is the opener is the best match and the rest of the show is shit and WWE is hoping to wow you so much with the opener that you don't judge the ppv as a whole and focus on how good it started. For MITB, watch the opening match, then put it aside and watch the rest of the ppv and judge the rest of the ppv separate from the opener and if the rest of the ppv is shit, then the entire ppv is shit.

Honestly I just didn't bother watching the Roman/Joe match... to me the tag match was the main event for me personally. I just don't have any interest in seeing Roman in the main event, the guy just seems like a mid card guy now and feel sorry for Joe having to lose to him. Nakamura and AJ should of been the main event even if the finish was shite but the WWE title match should always close the show. It truly was a shite PPV... Miz and Seth was match of the night.

Another great finish they could do for the next Nakamura vs AJ match: A 60 man Iron man match! With no DQ! None of them can get the pin on each other. So 60 mins passes and no one won. Then. Shane O Macerino comes out and says "no no no, this is NOT how a WWE championship match ends! I am going to make sure that we get a winner. TONIGHT. I will use my authority to RESTART the match! BUT. There is a catch. Not only, is this match restarted until someone pins someone. But this match will now be. A TRIPLE THREAT MATCH!" DO DO. DO DO. DO DO. DUN DUN. "IT'S THE BIG DAWG ROMAN REGINS" Michael Cole screams. Roman then spears AJ. He spears Nakamura. He spears the ref. He spears Michael Cole. He spears Samoa Joe, because why not? He then pins AND submits AJ and Nakamura at the same time, to become. The WWE world US tag team divas united kingdom cruserweight NxT northamerican southafrican WCW gold grand slam champion of the world of the universe of the galaxy BIG BIG DAWG CHAMPION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is the first pay per view that I’ve watched with casual fans in a while and let me tell you, the atmosphere in the room really helps you stomach subpar shows like this. Yes it’s clear that this show wasn’t great, but I don’t think it’s worth the energy to shit on it either. I encourage everyone to do what I did as it really is a refreshing experience. Shinsuke Nakamura Vs AJ Styles in a Last Man Standing Match. Finish is Shinsuke Nakamura going to give AJ another low-blow but breaks his hand. While in serious pain, he's confused. Goes to kick him in the groin and breaks his foot ala Leon kicking Robocop. Aj smiles, reaches into his tights and pulls out a metal cod-piece. Solomonster is right. They spent so much time building up the Greatest Royal Rumble that they forgot how to build Backlash. I usually don't buy into the "Major/Minor PPV" thing as a fan but Backlash had that minor PPV, B-show, stink all over it.

While this PPV did suck ass, at least Seth proved that he can steal the show anywhere and he did just that. That match with Miz was the only good thing about the PPV. Rollins should be the man WWE should focus their time on. Not Roman. Unfortunately, not Strowman either. Rollins should be their guy. He is so fucking over right now, it's not even funny.
