Wow what an amazing story. I been a fan of Angle's since WWF but I never knew any of the things you guys talked about his life and during his training. Kurt really did succeed against all odds he could've so easily went another direction as so many of us have that were gifted athletes with a ton of potential but didn't have the family support ,opportunities or the mindset to succeed. Thank you for sharing & for telling the story so well

This is one of the best Kurt Angel “interviews” I have ever seen. As someone who is a huge pro wrestling fan, it’s actually really refreshing that you guys couldn’t just ask him about the WWE the entire time. You really got down to who Kurt is as a person and it’s fucking awesome.

I met him twice. First time at an Indy Show. Second time at a TNA house show. First time, he was so out of it he couldn't speak. I was in the locker room that night. I saw him take a big handful of pills. And wash them down with vodka. I felt so bad for him. I kept thinking, he's die pretty soon. How he signed autographs and took pictures in the ring for the kids is beyond me. I thought after that night. I'll never see him again. But him the unbelievable human being that he is. He kicked the pain pills and I caught up with him again about six years later. At the TNA house show. And He was a completely different person. I was able to get in the ring and talk to him for a little bit. And take a picture together. He's got to be the toughest man in history to survive all of that. He's a good guy and I'm happy that was able to defeat his demons.

As an athlete myself you do everything you can to stay in and win no matter the pain. You learn to compartmentalize it in your mind and the adrenaline takes over and you don’t feel it until that fades. But a broken freaking neck and still beating olympians I can’t even imagine the level of pain he had. I tore my knee apart and that was bordering on torture but a neck just unreal the kind of man Kurt is. They don’t make them like him anymore
