Actually, that wasn't the og purpose. This stipulation was only used once (2002, the very last KOTR PPV). The actual og purpose was to put a future star on the map. That's what it did for Hart, Austin, HHH, & Lesnar.

I'm personally delighted, as I've thought it was the perfect setup and a way to give real meaning to the tournament that would created more interest in the event.
