Have to agree. The women's Rumble match was incredible, stacked from start-to-finish, had the best surprises, some fantastic returns and honestly, the picture perfect ending. I mean I was thrilled as I was a hundred percent pulling for Bayley to get that W and her Iron Woman'ing it, consistently being a part of almost the entire match was fucking incredible and makes an already deserved win that much more special (hell, I'm fairly certain Bayley was on her feet more than Rhea was last year). It sets up so much for her immediate future that you just know the next three months with her story's going to be absolutely elite. Not to discredit the rest of the match! I mean FFS, so many women deserve their props. Naomi had an incredible return, an incredible night and looked good doing it. Nia Jax played the monster perfectly, both Kayden Carter and Katana Chance put on a good enough show that despite their loss on Friday lets fans of them (such as myself) know they're around for the long haul. Piper Niven and Chelsea Green were absolute icons, playing up the in-ring physical comedy perfectly and just provide more proof that they deserve to remain in the title scene. Jordynne Grace was an absolute delight to have and promises a lot for the future of the WWE and TNA, which is hella exciting (especially given her post-match tweet), R-Truth and Valhalla provided a moment of absolute peak comedy and Jade Cargill far and away had the most successful Royal Rumble career debut that I've seen. Dominates Nia, eliminates Nia, accidentally (basically) eliminates Becky who had to be a lot of people's odds on favorite and her showing from start to final three was great. Liv made a perfect return and there's really nothing to complain about there (because Mercedes Monet? AJ Lee? Sounds like ICW predictions that are just absurd) and she immediately fits right back into things, makes the women's title scene that much more interesting. Add in the part that had my wife poking me, amused beyond words when she caught me cheering for Tiffany Stratton? Absolutely the best women's Rumble match of all time. I'd go so far as to say it belongs in a top ten list for best Royal Rumble matches. Not gonna say much about the Fatal 4 Way, because you nailed it. The match peaked with Orton's RKO's . . . but otherwise was just disappointing. Neither Styles or Orton really contributed too much to the match beyond a few spots and L.A. Knight absolutely _carried_ the match, made it watchable. Randy just wasn't involved much, like because he wasn't gonna win he wasn't gonna do much more than his usual big moves for near wins. A.J. looked fantastic, but they didn't have him outperform Randy presumably because Orton's still riding the high off of his return (which, considering A.J.'s one of my all-time favorites, sucks, but I get it) and as such, kinda did his greatest hits too. Which left it to Knight and Roman and considering Roman was getting wrecked 90% of the match, left it to Knight to really keep the action going. So it was slow, not that exciting and when you combine it with the Bloodline interference and it feeling like they called for the match to end, really fell flat. Worst match of the night and easily Roman's worst match since 2022. It sucks because it was stacked and had an awesome story leading to it, but at least Roman actually wrestled. K.O. and Paul was fantastic. A hell of a match, some really good back and forth, Paul proving that he was born to be in the WWE and kind of a really satisfying ending. Sure Kevin Owens lost, but for all the shit he put K.O. through and all the trash talking he ate his own brass knuckles and took a power bomb through the table. If the Fatal 4 Way is me booing, giving two eager thumbs downs and blowing raspberries, the U.S. title match is an enthusiastic thumbs up obnoxiously close to the face. I personally disagree on the men's Rumble and seemingly, with mostly everybody. I thought it was pretty good and the worst crime that occurred is that there was no Matt Cordova returning (I really did think it was gonna happen) and that Jey and Jimmy, despite having a fucking fire start to the Rumble didn't cost the other the match. But having Andrade back makes me very, very happy and alongside Randy Orton, A.J. Styles, Gunther and Cody Rhodes, Bron Breakker's one of my favorite superstars currently in WWE. So seeing him just fucking _dominate_, hit so many nasty ass spears and get the eliminations he did filled me with joy. I will say I much prefer the McAfee comedy act to another late-Rumble Lesnar stomp (or him slowly putting Breakker over) and if Pat did replace Brock, good. While I had previously liked Brock the person (until the allegations came out, holy shit the man's a fucking walking L of a human), I never much liked him as a wrestler and that bit of comedy was the perfect appetizer for R-Truth's appearance and subsequent display in why he's Hall of Fame bound despite not having the typical Hall of Fame career. Otherwise the Lashley/Kross and their factions was excellent mid-match shenanigans and Gunther proves why he's part of the WWE's future. You pretty much covered why CM Punk was mad disappointing (and hopefully the man will work on his cardio, his stamina otherwise I predict he's not gonna have a very happy second run in the WWE. His age isn't an excuse: look at A.J, Bobby Lashley and the like and Punk just seems older than he actually is) and personally, given Cody's an all-time favorite of mine (I was a big Legacy fan) I was incredibly satisfied with the outcome of the match and thought it made the most sense out of anyone. I mean c'mon, rewatch the literal across-the-damn-stadium staredown and tell me that match two between these guys isn't gonna be a classic.

My biggest gripe with the Men's one was why have the Fatal 4-way earlier in the night if NONE of the superstars are competing in the Rumble? It would've at least made sense if we saw Knight & AJ set up a fued, knocking eachother out and brawling or something. That Rumble needed more actual threats, not Ricochet coming out at 28 like he's got a shot.

I thought the ppv overall was an A or A- Women’s Royal Rumble was fantastic, but the matches after were just decent. And the only issue with the mens royal rumble was that certain storylines weren’t being built because the wrong people were making eliminations. If it weren't for my group of friends being split on who they wanted to win, I would've agreed that the final 2 was sluggish. I feel like this rumble had so much hype that it was destined to be underwhelming for some people, but I personally wouldn't take that into account with how I felt about the rumble. With friends, it was great, but on the match alone, I still think it was good. Not like one of the best, but still good. The only thing I didn't really like was how they handled Pat McAfee's entrance. I liked the attempted fake out when he re-entered, but assuming that was going to be Brock's number, I would've given that spot to Chad Gable. It sucks that he missed out and I would've loved a Gunther-Gable stare down. I think it was a good rumble that's only bad in comparison to its hype or the women's rumble. I'm more optimistic about things and tend to view more positives, but I understand if people think it's worse than what I am thinking.
@phoenixfirebird42214 ай бұрын
It was last minute decision, so maybe Brock told them last minute. Gable was probably at home at this point and couldn't make it in time with little prep time, so they had no choice to do this.

Just imagine this at Wrestlemania 40. Cody looks like he's about to win. Solo and Jimmy interfere in the match to try and help Roman win and then all the sudden all we hear is "If Ya Smell What The Rock is cookin" and The Rock comes out and fends off Solo and Jimmy which allows Cody to beat Roman with a Crossroads and they can pull a John Cena Vs. The Rock and announce a once in a lifetime match a year in advance between The Rock and Roman Reigns for the moniker of Tribal Chief. This is my dream scenario.

I can’t say enough about how great the women’s rumble was. Every aspect of it felt like such a big deal, of course none bigger than Jade, whose presentation and performance were absolutely phenomenal. It seems as if the producers of the match made it a point to really showcase the women’s tag team division as well, which I can appreciate. I personally was fine with Liv at 30, but if I had to pick one minor thing to critique, I would’ve liked to see Becky hang around a little while longer, but that’s just personal preference since we all know she’s gonna get her mania match with Rhea anyways. We saw how incredibly stacked the women’s roster is, and WWE might need to start having some conversations about introducing some women’s midcard titles for that Chelsea Green, Ivy Nile, Zoey Stark, etc. group of women’s wrestlers. Don’t really have much for you on the fatal 4 way. I agree that this was the perfect opportunity to have Roman win completely clean, but I guess they wanted to maintain some element of the storyline with Roman telling the bloodline to fix the whole fatal 4 way issue, and this is the way that Solo saw fit. Logan Paul is just ridiculous. KO just continues to deliver on every single PLE. The men’s rumble was decent. I feel like I’ve seen too much hate on it online, but it makes sense given that it’s being compared to the women’s rumble. Loved Jey and Jimmy in the top two spots, but I would’ve loved to see one end up eliminating the other. I’m with you on wanting Gunther to win, I was saying after last year’s rumble that he’s absolutely winning this year’s, but once they killed that program with him and Gable, and even more so once Punk returned, I knew they weren’t going with Gunther. He’ll definitely win next year’s though 😂. As for Cody, I am 100000% all in on Cody going back to back. I think it was the right choice, and I’m ready to dive back in to Cody finishing the story against Roman this year.

The men's rumble match was very predictable and a bit boring tbh. I wanted Drew to Gunter to win but I knew they weren't. I think the mens rumble suffered from not having alot of believable winner's, especially with the uncertainty in regards to Rollins status. There's a ton of talented guys and alot of them are over in a good way, but due to the Reigns title run it kind of constricts whos a realistic person to win. Where as the women's match had numerous entrants that you could see as viable winners.

Loved the Women's Rumble. Only complaint was I felt the Kairi Sane elimination spot was botched and it seems Asuka, for some reason, set up her own exit too. Idk, maybe it wasn't botched but it was awkward and I wonder if they had further role to play to set up Bayley's sense of betrayal by Damage Ctrl better. But otherwise great rumble and deserved winner! The 4-way was...underwhelming cause I feel it had room to have more crazy spots that just the RKO-fest and the stacking moment. Solo's interference is just irritating by now. KO vs Logan was amazing, a bit overindulgent with the ending but the close-call DQ finish was good. The Men's rumble match delivered imo. Narratives around Bobby and Kross, Shinsuke and Cody, Drew and Sami, JD and Truth and more. Bronn Breaker looks outstanding. Disappointing that there was no major surprises or returns but roster is so stacked with not just star power but so many underdogs and redemption arcs right now, it just doesn't require it. I personally wanted Drew or Sami to win cause I feel they're the least likely to "get their deserved shot" whereas I do feel Cody and Punk will find their ways to both World title matches anyways at the end. But I guess, Cody win kinda remove the doubt that they weren't gonna continue the buildup and sacrifice it for the Rock.
