I used to be a big fan of the WWE when I was a kid. I haven't watched any of it for about 20 years but somehow the Tiffany Stratton cash in popped up on my algorithm and it was awesome. The crowd reaction gave me chills and brought me back to my childhood. I watched the highlights of Smackdown and was immediately interested in some of the storylines. It's like what Triple H said about the Rollins Punk promo and social media taking off with it and attracting new or returning audiences. He's very insightful

@PAPITOFLOW6969 I'm down with 3 hours, but sometimes those shows are a drag. Sometimes 2 isn't enough. Maybe 2 hours 45 minutes. Maybe 3 hours 15 minutes. I like the idea that every show isn't on an exact time. Can leave room to not rush things, or force things in.
@PAPITOFLOW6969Күн бұрын
@SirButtah I Agree
@TyrannosavageRektКүн бұрын
It does indeed. Some of the two hour shows recently have felt lacking, but the three hour ones were often a drag (though honestly less so since Trips took charge). I think making the shows as long or short as they need to be so that they're fit for purpose can only be a positive. And means we should have less segments and matches being rushed because something's overrun.
@Absolute8384Күн бұрын
I think the idea of Raw’s time being flexible is kind of a cool idea. It leaves us, as the viewer, guessing how long the main event match will be. It gives segments time to breathe and allows spontaneous things to happen.

@easter_sundayКүн бұрын
@ I didn’t realize lives were at stake. And here I was thinking that he had to tell the story of the faction splintering apart. Personally, I hope Balor fires Dirty Dom and Carlito once Liv’s feud with Rhea is over. Personally I’d like to see Dirty Dom vs Rhea Ripley in a steel cage for WM 41. I think that would do good business for the WWE. I think Balor should continue in a faction by finding a singles star he can support with a title run and women’s champion that can round out his faction. I understand these things take time, and when you try to engage in shortcuts because of complaints about the story, you end up with AEW and hot shot booking. No thanks

Triple H literally saved the product. Love the changes he has made
@VinnyLogzКүн бұрын
Saved? Nah, made it better yes, WWE has made more Revenue, net income and cash flow, year over year for pretty much 30yrs in a row. The business has always been growing, Vince had way more ideas that worked and helped the business then ones that didnt. But on the business side, Vince was hitting homeruns every year. Triple H is a fan at heart, so creative is better. The biggest problem with pro wrestling are the hopelessly negative and fickle fans. Most will watch everything but only focus on the parts they didnt like, effectively ruining their own entertainment. 🤣🤣🤦♂️🤣🤦♂️

I think that the crowd not being censored is important because crowds are gonna be crowds you can’t control them and “holy shit” and other chants are just part of wrestling and to censor that is silly. As for the wrestlers themselves swearing I don’t think it’s always necessary but it does when used smartly and in the right place at the right time with the right story can add an extra punch to a moment. WWE have shown even while they’ve still been on tv that they have been willing to push the boundaries a little where it makes sense and I’ve just always expected them to continue to do that and that’s basically what H and Nick have said everytime they’ve been asked

I still feel the reason Kurt Angle worked so well as a character from day 1 was because he was basically being the most babyface guy possible, at the time when everyone was trying to be as anti-hero as possible, and did this genius script flip with it. He would attack Austin for being disrespectful to the fans by flipping them off and drinking beer instead of wrestling, or he would promo on the undertaker for being a loud biker in a stadium of people who paid good money to see athletic prowess, not “big meanies on their motorbikes”. Dude took his olympic gold clout, and made himself the most bad ass hall monitor at a time when everyone else on the main roster was trying to outdo each other as “being the biggest baddest bad ass”. Kurt Angle didn’t ditch the face gimmick to become a heel, he became a heel by digging deeper into being a face. Didn’t curse, drank milk, hung out with edge and christian who were goofster heels, and as an athlete would tell the crowd he expected better from their hometeam. And through all that he was so damned on point with his timing and reactions, he was a heel who could still behave like a heel even when he actually WAS a face.

Thats how you create a amazing moment. you turn something into a total different direction.

One thing put all raw episodes on Netflix. 9 years of being able to watch all episodes, now I can't.

Triple H is the only person in the world who could spit water in your face and you’d be happy

WWE staying PG-13 is disappointing

Right off the RIP, The Game is laying out the new game. We're not held to network timeslots. GOOOOOD GOD ALMIGHTY. I think HHH just took network television. No commercial breaks.

I thought the exact same! No more matches being cut for commercial

There will definitely be commercials. It's how Netflix makes money from WWE

I think the 80% of the world that has everything is blessed. Netflix Canada has Raw Smackdown and PLEs obviously somethings are missing but still insane.

Biggest takeaway here that WWE will remain 'PG'... and yet the most hyped thing of the past 5 years was when The Rock came back and was doing TV-13 style material. WWE are clueless.

triple H is the greatest. If wrestling is a work he worked it to the highest level. Might have not been the biggest star like hogan, stone cold or rock but he has become the big boss working with what he had
